What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

are you going to reconstruct it in 3d?
I would give dumping and reconstructing a try - isnt thath much work actually using hires easer - but it would be nice to get the 3d models in exchange.

@Djipi The market is definitly on my list. I'd give 3d construction a try. I just do it in Sketch Up and Render with max. I don't know if i can do it but if it works it's only a matter of putting your textures on them.

Edit: Another thought, perhaps I'll try it first with a very simple interior like one in the castle and if it works expand to moxe complex areas.

ok now i got a problem: I reconstructed a room, match perspective from the top view. The problem with the panaoramas is, that you can't see all the textures.
Since hires easer needs all numbers to be filled in, i can't use it. I could do it by hand but that would mean 128 textures for every panorama - i dont have this much time.

Perhaps microdev could add a function to fill in a '?'so it will add the spare textures in the missing fields - so you just have to jigsaw the ones you can't see.

I currently have not time at all, sorry. But you can do the following:
  1. Open the folder containing the textures, you want to put an id onto
  2. Make a copy of a texture of the same size of the one of the missing field (the one you want to use as ?)
  3. Name this copy to whatever name you want to (e.g. placeholder.png)
  4. Add an id to the textures of your market place etc. by using option 1
  5. Now you will find a file called TextureIds.txt (or something like that) in the folder of the textures with the ids (and in the other one as well)
  6. Open this file (it's a simple text file) and look for the name of your placeholder texture
  7. Left to the texture name (I think) you find an id - remember that.
  8. If you now arrange your textures with option 2 allways use the remembered id of your placeholder texture for the missing fields (This id is now your "?")
  9. After option 2 assembled the background, you can either delete the placeholders or replace them with the actual
textures or simply ignore them. They should do no harm at all.

If your missing textures are of different size, you have to create a placeholder texture for every size otherwise you will recognize a wrong alignment.

*EDIT*
One remark to option 3: It works like that: It takes every layer but the last one, cuts a part out of the last layer corresponding the position and size of the underlying layer and saves it under the name of the underlying layer. Thus it is important that, if you replace your placeholders with the actual textures, that you also assure, that the layer has the right name (the one of the texture) as this one will be used as the file name.

Reconstruction worked - thanks again microdev

@Dijpi: Yes I can give you a reconsstruction of the marketplace - I'll do it when I have the time about next week or something

The problem i have now, is to match the reconstructed image with the 3D modell I did. You have to be very precise and I can't get it right with sketchup photo match. Probably could do it with 3Dmax but I'm not that experienced with that..

Painting would be a solution - but I think it should be rendered as the original.

Djipi,
It would be great if we could get a WIP screenie if you've made any progress.

Please? :D Thanks for all your hard work...we can't wait.

I've been following this since 2005 I think...

it's great to see it's still going!

I have few issues with my new config. I'm sure you guys can help me out.

When I use the pack Emarian has in his sig, with OoT v1.2 U it has few elements not working. I'll post few screens...

see? I'm sure it has to do with French/English. but Emarian says his stuff works well, anyone knows what is going wrong?

Maybe I should go and grab JHdD's old english fix...

I'm now extracting my own pack to see if I have this same issue. I'm fairly sure that I checked it when I uploaded it, but if I have the same problem, I'll integrate Mollymutt's English fixes into the pack (if that's ok by her).

Will give an update soon and fix the link if this is the case.

EDIT:
Apparently something's going on with my server. May be a while before I can confirm this.

Ok, hope you can fix it,I added a part of an old set I found on here by searching old threads...

The saved data screen is now ok but item text remains blurry and the press start screen is messed up too.

Djipi, j'ai hate que tu sortes ton pack, car la version précedente était très bonne!
