What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

Here is my attempt at the character pictures. I have been using the ssbm character renders for the pictures. I have found renders online for all the characters except jigglypuff and luigi, since they are secret characters in ssbm, nintendo did not release high rez character renders for them. If anyone likes textures I made, I will post a pack of all ten characters.

YES pleaz!! :D (is big SSB/M fan!!)

Well, I've been retexturing some of the characters. Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Pikachu are the ones I'm (sort of) done with. Now for the bugs:

- Mario's regular and Jumpman suits work fine, but his Wario and "chocolate" suits are discolored around the collar and at the front of the cap. Luigi doesn't have this problem.

- Luigi's cap doesn't use my retexture. That will be fixed later.

Update: Fox and Jiggly are done. I've fixed a few problems with the textures; Pika's eyes should show up correctly, and the Mario Bros. no longer have that darker flesh tone around their eyes.

Now for the pictures...

I'm attaching what I have done, so far. Just extract it to the "...\hires_texture\SMASH BROTHERS" directory, and everything should be fine. Any feedback is appreciated. I plan on retexturing Ness and DK next. I also plan to retexture the electrocution skeleton textures of these characters.

I'd hate to double post, but I've been working on the Pokemon sprite textures. I've still got to tidy them up (remove the dark edges, for one), so I won't upload them until they are done. Until then, here's a preview:

Alright, here's the updated Pokemon textures. The only Pokemon that I didn't retexture were Starmie and Pokemon that fly around in the Saffron City background. The edges of the Pokemon don't appear as rough as they do in the collage that I posted earlier. I can't post some new screens at the moment, but I will later.

Once again, just extract the RAR to the "...\hires_texture\SMASH BROTHERS" directory, and everything should be fine. Any feedback is appreciated.

I have something; thanks to Guru64 I have completed the high-res life counters for all the charactures.

Note: put this IN your super smash bros hi res folder.
This pack contains all the life counters available in versus mode.

Edit: If you downloaded this before please re-download it I fixed Ness' hair and the borders around Luigi and Jiggly Puff.

Thanks Shades, and welcome to the forum by the way. It's the least I could do, I have more textures, I guess i should just post it considering that this thread has been dead in the water for awhile. I'll try to have some more posted by the end of the week.
