I don't know if you care or not, but I'm a little bit anal about detail, and your current avatar is a little annoying to me, the black background changes size as he runs (Might be IE6), but I thought you *might* like it tweaked a touch: if you don't, It won't hurt my feelings :)
(Check the attachment)
I had offered him one of my own months ago. He never used it, lol. :D

The PC Wiz
1080 Snowboarding issue should be declared a known issue

With *ALL* versions of Project64, 1080 will always pause
in game. For me, even with check memory and cache and larger
compile buffer, 1080 in game always pauses
for 2 to ~ 10 seconds every approximately 2 minutes during a snowboard match.

I really think the 1080 pausing, if any for anyone else,
*is* the core.

I don't recall this in 1964.

Zilmar, Whitten and Jabo should note this.

I never liked those pixelated avatars.
That new one is better, but a bit scary ;)
It's only pixelated becasue I doubled its size. This one may look better.

p.s. Sorry that I'm OT.;)

Do you think you have the pausing problem? Yes

Operating System: Windows Me
CPU type and speed: 1.4 GHz P4
Total system RAM: 256 MB (PC800 RDRAM)
Approx. RAM free before starting PJ64: 170 MB

Graphics card chipset: Geforce 3 Ti @ 220 MHz / 500 MHz
Graphics card total RAM: 64 MB
Graphics card driver: Det 21.88

Approx. how often do the pauses occur? Often, in some games
Approx. how long do the pauses last? A fraction of a sec to several secs.

State 3 examples of games that DO have the problem:
Banjo-Tooie
Ogre Battle 64

State 3 examples of games that do NOT have the problem:
Mario 64
Shadowman

Does using the v1.4 video plugin solve the problem? [Yes/No]
Don't know yet.

Does loading from a state save solve the problem? [Yes/No]
Haven't tried it.

Select an avatar in your profile options.

Just a note. Using Jabo 1.5 with 1964 0.8.4 does NOT give me pauses like I get in PJ64. Not really sure why this is, but thought someone would like to know.

Great job!

When I use the 1.5 jabo video plugin with the new version of 1964 (0.8.4), I still get the same pausing, it even seems worse. Games tested = Mario Kart, Crusin World, Extreme G.

My Specs:

P4 2.0 ghz, 512MB DDR , Geforce4 Ti4200 64MB, WinXP

I've only had time to try Mario Kart on the new 1964, but the pausing in this game is definitely worse than in pj64 when using Jabo's 1.5 video plugin. I'm running a p4 1800ghz with a geforce3.

tried using Jabo 1.5 gfx plugin with PJ64 1.5 and 1964 .8.5 and got many pauses while playing mario kart 64, while no pauses using old Jabo or other gfx plugins , Hope this issues get fixed in the next update. thnx

When i had Winxp (not SP1) on this machine, with the same stats, Games ran much slower.. (no, no gfx were enabled and so on..) Same drivers too.. but games that run at 60fps on win2k ran at like 45, and had pauses...

The pausing is not a WinXP issue. I have 3 systems, and all 3 of the computers have the pausing problems when using Jabo 1.5.

System 1
WinXP, 512MB DDR, Geforce4Ti4200, SBlive 5.1

System 2
WinME, 256MB SDRAM, Geforce2MX400, SBlive 5.1

System 3
Win98SE, 256 SDRAM, VooDoo3, SB64AWE
