What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.
  • As members seem to have a problem reading the release threads:

Djipi's packs are built for the (Glide64 finale) Plugin. Nolonger supported!
Djipi's packs are built for the (GlideN64) Plugin.
These two Plugins are two completely different pieces of code.

GlideN64.HTC archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on Glide64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

Glide64.DAT archived packs locked by Djipi are not compatible with use on GlideN64, Rice video, nor Jabo video.

Djipi has never made a pack for use with Rice video and never will. any packs found in this format are not authorized!

GlideN64 is the new standard and only requires an Radeon 6XXX.
This is a somewhat older GPU and should be readily available.
Do everyone a favor and upgrade!

...pj64 would attempt to load the textures until it crashes at approximately 5,181 textures. I'm basically wondering if anyone else has had this exact crash occur, and looking for assistance please and thank you.
If anyone else runs into that, you might try the 64bit patch that enables using more than 2GB of ram. Mine crashed while loading textures too, but now it works fine after applying that patch.
www.emutalk.net/threads/54613-Emulator-crashes-when-loading-(large)-texture-pack-Solution

My primary issue was that I couldn't get project64 (v1.6 or 2.1) to display ALL of the textures. The 'start' screen was blurry, and the 'quest status' screen was partially loaded. I tried project64 1.6 and 2.1, and I also tried 1964 r146. 1964 gave me several issues that made Majora's Mask unplayable. The ingame menus showed an Ocarina in every slot, and then after I tried Rice Video, it got to where it would only show a black screen when trying to load the rom. With project64, everything seems to run fine, but the textures wouldn't all load.:ranting: I spent a few hours trying to get it running before I figured out my specific issue. For me, I think it was because I was trying to use the European rom and the US Gamecube roms. I read that both of these versions have bug fixes, so I wanted to use those. Once I switched to the US N64 rom, project64 loads all of the textures, at least so far. I've only played about 10 minutes, so I can't comment on stability or textures later in the game. I guess the textures for the European and GC versions must have some different names or something. That's too bad. If you can't get all of the textures to load, you may want to try a different version of the game. :agree:

Hello, hope I can get a reply seeing I couldn't on my other post about this specific texture pack. While most of the textures load all the walls in the city are black. the clock tower itself is black and it starts after talking to the happy mask salesmen with the door to outside black. I'v tried multiple setting changes but can't seem to fix that problem any suggestions?

Hi,

Everything is perfect, I love it !! There only a small issues ; I can't use the lens of truth. We'll I see the ''red'' aura and it's consuming my mana, but I can't see hiding thing. I have to press start to see it in back screen, when I go back to the game it's disappear.... I'm using project 64 2.1 with latest glide64 plugins. Tried in fullscreen, windowed, 16:9, 4:3... texture on/off, still not working.

I played that game 100000000 times. I can do it without the lens but it a pain in the ass lol, anyone have a clue ?

Please, watch out, I really took a long time to fix this, and by the road, I saw a lot of players with the same problem and no solution at all, I don't know why, so, I will post the easy fix! You need add your emulator ".exe", like "project64.exe" in a program called "large address aware"! To unlock the emulator or any app to use more then 2 GB of ram, unlock the app from his own limit!!!!

100%%, just make sure to use all right setups to the room you want to play! I just loaded 5700 textures of Zelda mm! Perfect! Win7 ultimate 32, full update. Need Microsoft visual c++ 2008 sp1 and .net framework 3.5 sp1! I guess you also need the euro version of the ROM! About 30mb only, not 70mb! Also, I forgot to say, my PJ version is v2.1!

Done that, you will be able to load all textures you want! I guess works at 1.7 either and I guess you don't need these fix to load at v1.6! Only 1.7 and 2.1!

(Well, I just did it! And from Brazil, so, sorry for the poor English, I really could did a lot better, but I'm so happy! I gonna play now! Finally = wasn't easy! Believe me! I search everywhere and didn’t found a tutorial like I just post! Really disappointing!)

Maybe it's just to late at night for me to read this babbling, I don't know.
Your post was uncomfortable to read, I have edited with the assistance of MS word.

Do Not Post in ALL CAPS again.

I believe that the solution that you were trying refer to is located within my signature.

Yes it is, and Project64 1.6 needs it too. The LAA patcher shouldn't need the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 runtime. And something gives me the gut feeling he did not pay for his copy of PJ64 1.7.

Hello I have a question is the lava in snowhead temple supposed to be white like flowing snow or is that a graphical error?

Otherwise this pack looks great.

Thanks for your time and effort.

One question: Can I use the .htc file instead of the .dat? because pj64 2.2 only creates a 295MB dat file, so it doesn't load all the 400+MB textures.

I loaded all 5748 textures into GlideN64's new .htc format, if anyone's interested. I had to turn on Alternate CRC to get all the textures cached, but some wouldn't display in-game unless I turned it off again after the initial load.
So, just leave off Alternate CRC with this for best results.

Looks great. How did you convert this?

BTW; here's a two hour video of gameplay with GlideN64

You're a gentleman and a scholar for that. Thank you! Gonna dive into this after finishing OoT with Djipi's 2014 pack.

Any chance someone has a mirror to this download? I am using Android and need an .htc version of this.

I can't get the .htc to load; I have it in Project64\Plugin\GFX\Cache right next to the one for Ocarina of Time cache; but it refuses to load. Any ideas?

You are using GlideN64 correct?

Well... yeah; it's nearly pointless to use anything but these days, no?

EDIT: Here's an image that shows how I've got things set up.
