This may be stupid, but I hope for some positive feedback!

Ok, this might come off stupid, therefore I am prepared for those of you out there that may heckle, but I was wondering what the purpose of using the dolphin emulator is, if the fps is horrible? How would one play and have a fun time with it?

I had done some reading and came to the conclusion that becuase the GC uses a PowerPC chip, that the emulation process is what caused the slowness. With this said, why bother if the games are just going to be slow?

Than again I could be wrong and some people out there might have sweet setups that would allow them to play GC games just fine.

Anyways, the reason for this post to ask if I am correct in thinking that everyone suffers from the slowness of these games, or is just the select that have lower end systems. Any clarification on this subject would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

Mostly because Dolphin is not meant to be used as a replacement for a GC/Wii. Developers like coding an emulator as a hobby regardless of whether a 'fullspeed' emulator is actually feasible. If you don't understand it, don't use it.

Any way to start the game in Dynarec mode? Iknow it wont boost much but 2 fps more is enough for me :p

My screen of Zelda TP... works slower then other games because the dynarec option is off :( and my task manager shows that only 1 of my core(s) is used... sad!

Yep that's what i was trying to say. I knew that Ector was one of the developers of Dolphin.. As a matter of fact i've been around on Emutalk for a long time.. But my english is too plain and simple to be one of these "day posters"

So i just enjoy reading and.. sometimes i make sarcastic/funny comments or just pay respect to Emu authors ^^

Anyway let's continue with the thread
btw those Zelda TP shots looks amazing

Nice to see some Dolphin progress
hehe time to get one of those fancy 64-Bits processors ahhah
Best of lucks

It is very surprising to see how accurate TP already looks with the current Dolphin. It's a testament to the hard work that has gone into the emulator to see newly released games being compatible with amazing accuracy with currently released builds.
