i think thats what i have in my computer now lmao
this thing cant even take a 733MHz processor
once my new one is here im tossing this junk out the window!

What wierd looking processors? All the CPUs i've seen are small, square, and brown or green

Honestly I Dont Really Know, been A Long Time, Since I Opened My case,
Is there a Program you know of, that tells what kind of processor you have?
or should i look up in the bios?
i know my computer is a Compaq peace of junk! lol

The processor can be upgraded to a 3.7GHz processor (AMD Athlon 64 3700+). The processor in mine is a 3400+ and is really fast. I've been pleased with it from the beginning. Hopefully that gives you some estimate of how good the processor can get for that particular motherboard

Overclocking I dont know how to do i have never messed around with it,
my friend john says it can mess things up

Your motherboard is better than mine (ASUS's flagship Socket A board), and it does support overclocking. I would not overclock unless you are confident with what you are doing, as a wrong setting may cause your PC to not start up or cause other problems.

CPU-Z can detect your CPU. You can get it from:

Not if your careful...and have good cooling...you just have to know what you're doing. Like don't let your little sibling (if you have one) OC...I did (I had the OC window opened) and my little sister messed with the sliders and damaged my video card.

EDIT: Well clements, i'm very careful with my OC'ing if I see artifacts for a second I immeidatly downclock. I also have very good cooling on my GPU and CPU, just look at the clock speeds in my sig. The temp never goes above 60C.

lol that sucks, i have a bro but he living with my aunt,
if i let him on my pc he would ruin it like my last one!

haha no looked into my case, and found a screw in it, and Fried My Motherboard
(the static shock can do that sometimes) i was pissed off at him,

It's not very good, since it only has 64-bit memory, which has a big impact on performance, making it as fast as a FX 5200. The 6200 you posted earlier is about 2 to 3 times faster at stock.

alright cool! i will most likely get the 6200 then,
either that, or check out that $500 dollar card at the pc store,
he say he can give me a deal for about $200 on it, im gonna see if he will bring the price down on it, i dont remember what the brand is but he says it freaking good, and can play anything on it!

Sounds like a 6800 ultra or a 7800GTX. I'm jealous :'( *cry cry*. Oh well my card can play the games I have at full settings without going below 60FPS, so I love it *hugs his computer*.

lol i dont think he said it was a Geforce I Could Be Wrong,
but he is closed until Tuesday, so im gonna check it out then
and write down the info on it, and let you all know what it exatly is
