Anyone know if Phantasy Star Online is playable? It's my favorite game and I go buy it and XP if yes.

Thanks, and keep up the good work all!

It's doubtful PSO would be playable, but seeing as how you would need a GameCube to rip it, you might as well just play it there for now. If your waiting to play most games until the emulator can play them full speed, you'll be waiting a long time... Unless you just want to play Bust A Move 3000!

Dolphin Loads On Windows 98 Se

Well, I got Dolphin to load in Win98SE. Seems to work fine, need a .gsm to test on. Will post more later when I test.

Hi , first i want to congratulate all of you who created this amazing emulator so quickly.
I've tried some games since i have the emu here's the results :
( see my spec's to compare to yours )

Bust a move 3000 pal [G3SE] : ( shrink : ok )
Everybody knows now ;] , works VEEEEERY fine
( Don't forget the "knuckles trick" !! it's much much better with transparency )
Ikaruga pal [GIKP] : ( shrink : ok )
I have to wait a little when i start the game ( white screen )
but it finally loads after 1 or 2 minutes then the menus runs at 50 to 120fps
( whaaa to much speed put a framelimit option !! lol ). when ingame it runs 7 to 14 fps ( 14 is still playable but i will go to my dreamcast for the moment ... ;p )
It finally crashes Dolphin when i stay too much in the first mission but when i try practice mode i can play all the ime i want ( i thought it would be interresting for coders or perhaps you already knew ? )
the only difference between the gcm rom and my dream version is 1]the speed
2]strange black squares that appears when enemys explode (?!) 3]the language .... ^^" and of course the sound but i know that it will come sooner or later !
Luigi's Mansion pal [GLMP] : ( shrink :i think it's ok it gives me the same results ... )
Got only the Nintendo Logo at 230 fps (!!) then nothing even in interpreter mode
Wario World pal [GWWE] : ( shrink :not for the moment ! keep your big isos ! )
i've putted some screenshots for this one cause it was hard running it :/ .
The game runs only in "interpreter mode"
and the only way to have it "clean" it to add a post processing night glow
, it will remove the white square that covers the window ( i use night glow 2 )
the game runs very slow 1 to 6 fps almost all the time ( sometimes 9 but not often ) .
here are the screenshots =>
w/out night glow 2 :

http://www.ifrance.com/lunatiklamineur/dolphin/wario_03.JPG
with night glow 2 :

"voila" ...
i also wanted to tell you that the emu runs with 40% to 90% of my 1800+
and take me 80 mo of memory when 2d and 90 to 100mo when 3d.
That's all see you soon !

Insert clever rhetoric here.
Li9uid, this is a compatibility thread. The shots should go in the shots thread. But nice info to go with the games that run.

imo this is a little bit complex to view all pages
my idea ->
make a post (may be first)
with a table showing all games tested (so far) und with results, that would be nice :)
(hello mods someone there who can do this?? ^^° )

Fzero

Fzero GX USA - Game boots with uminpliment op message that comes up twice, then screen flashes with logo, if u wait 4 mins, it will complain about no memory card being present, then it freezes at 200.1fps, left if for another 4mins, nutthin but saw some flashes, maybe if i leave it longer it may get into the game :satisfied more to come soon
Currently downloading: Zelda Orcania of Time
Tony Hawks Underground

Shin_Gouki I totally agree with you, even a basic up to date list

ie;
Luigis Haunted Mansion PAL Shrunk...........Displays Nintendo logo only
Mario Party 4 USA etc.

I think it may even prevent people from asking in the regular forum about game compatibility, as to the pain of reading through the 14 or so pages so far. (Don't get me wrong, I did it! :) )

But if its too much of a pain I totally understand.

Just my two cents.

PS;
I'm new to these boards and I just want to send an official congrats to the team on the work done thus far. I'm really surprised Gamecube emulation is happening to a greater extent than either of the other two next gen systems. Way to go!

You're all free to put together a compatibility list, it doesn't take a mod to do that. ;)

These are the games I've tested on Dolphin...
I made the isos by myself using the broadband connection, so I don't know if in some cases I have taken them correctly, because in some cases they don't work even on the cube, but it can be a matter of the loader...
I've tried to load them both using interpret mode and compile mode, if nothing is specified it means the result for that game is the same :)
Anyway, this is the list

Prince of Persia USA - a message says "unhandled mfsr_impl" and then the screen remains black (on the Cube the iso works very well)

Donkey Konga JAP - black screen (doesn't work on the Cube)

F-Zero JAP - using interpret shows a message "unhandled mtstrin_impl" then shows the Nintendo/Sega logo flickering but nothing more. On compile mode Dolphin crashes immediately (works with bugs and slow on Cube)

Viewtiful Joe JAP (not Revival, the first one) - Sad, black screen :( (doesn't work on Cube)

Mario Kart USA - Works in interpret mode but sloooooooow

My PC:
Pentium 4 2,6 ghz
256 mb ram
ati radeon 9200 (128 mb ram)
winxp home

nice

Bust a move 3000 - almost perfect hardly any gfx errors and no crashes played 30mins straight wut an addictive game, good for beginners to download

Fzero-GX - Game shows intro then brags about unimplimented shit, twice, it will loop but if u leave it for 5 mins it will ask u for the memory card and then freezes maybe if I leave it more it will get into the game, furthur testing is needed.

Luigi's mansion - Shows intro, thats it, nothing else I think this is a video card problem, ( I have a geoforce 2 mx440)

Mario Kart double dash: Runs, no crashes, minor gfx error in menu's , let game run for 7 mins but game was unplayable, cudnt even run it in wireframe, missing textures mostly black lmao.

Metroid Prime - Keep dreaming guys, doent even run, 100% cpu but nuthin else for now

SoulCalibur 2 - Black screen 100% cpu, similar to metroid prime, just wait till the next version these rom just wont boot.

Super Mario Sunshine - Game is playable but with A LOT OF MISSING TEXTURES!, lots of errors and slow too, can get into game but very slow and difficult to play.

Legend of Zelda Orcania of time + Master quest - Can get into the menu, PLAY MUSIC SO SOUND SEEMS TO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!, but when u go to play a movie or a game, a message "cpu reset" appears.

Tony Hawks Underground - Unimplimented message times infinite, doesnt start at all!

Zelda Windwaker - Get into game, very fast at first but slow in game + hard to play because everything is black!

My advice to ppl out there, unless u have a gf5200 or more like the authors said, u can expect missing textures and slow speeds like Im getting, give the emulator more time, it still needs work and if u are keen on playing gamecube games, go buy one and wait till the emulator becomes more advanced, even if gamecube is emulated YOU WILL NEED A FAST PROCESSOR and a $200 video card to achieve good emulation.

Specs:
amd athlon xp [email protected] oc to [email protected]
384mb ram
shitty gf2 mx440
volcano 12 heatsink cooling @5000rpm

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. (Fully playable!)

I've attached some shots of ingame action.. i'm sure many of you will enjoy them :)

My specs are:
AMD XP2100+ (original clock speed)
GeForceFX 5900U
768MB 400mhz DDR RAM

FPS is perfect throughout the menu's and intro. I get about 5-20 ingame.
