What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

There are a couple of sticky topics at the top that should set you in the right direction. Which games are you thinking about doing?

All you'll need is a good graphics editor (like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro or Paint .NET or The GIMP), an emulator with the games you want, and mudlord's Rice Video, and you're all set!

ok so i figured out how to dump the textures and edit them

but now the problem is that the start screen textures im trying to edit seem to be assembled together in the game like a jigsaw puzzle

for instance i wrote a number on the first 5 textures in the folder of the start screen just to see how it would assemble on the screen

and it came out completely random

i got the one in the bottom corner and its upside down

then the 5 is right beside it

and the 2 is at the top

just complete randomness, and everything is mirrored (backwards and upside down)

i mean its definatly possible to figure out the order of the pieces but its just a huge pain in the @$$ (like a jigsaw puzzle)

will all games be like this?

Well what game did you end up goin with? I know some games do some funky stuff with textures but your case sounds a little beyond normal. :-/ And no, most games aren't that difficult.

it was Nuclear Strike that i was attempting

but if other games are not as bad then i think im gonna play around with some more and see if i can find a more suitable candidate before i go jumping in head first
