this emu is great, however it would be even better if it had perfect netplay.

The one with kailerra is rubbish and laggy, you guys should make it so its like the zsnes netplay mode.. no lag, except up to 4 players can join so any game can be played with up to that amount.

thats my only suggestion :bouncy: waf

Man, I've heard that mentioned so many times. I think netplay is something just about everyone wants to see implimented in 1.7. It would be pretty cool though, to play with friends (or even just some random Arab guy from from another country :ala:) in goldeneye or mariokart instead of just the computer. I think that's a lot more fun. So i bet it will be included in 1.7 since it's something a lot of people want.

Just curious about the Pokemon transfer pak thing... Would you be able to be able to rip the Pokemon out of a GB rom with PJ64? That would be sweet!

No, and it probably won't ever be. The code is too different, and there are no DLLs, INIs, etc... in Linux/MacOS. He would have to start over from scratch, and none of the plugins would work. Im tempted to try using WINE/Cedega, but I doubt it will work.

There's a better explination in the FAQs about why linux won't be supported.

net play, but with no enemy display option. since there are two basic kinds of multiplayers games,2 and 4 players, which always use the same screen division. I believe wouldnt be very dificult to fit the players view to full screen.

In order to do that they would probobly have to have a setting for each and every game, maybe they could tie that feature in with the Save selected plugin per game feature, but I kind of doubt that it will happen.

I think that would be very difficult to do, but would be sweet! When we used to play Goldeneye with teams, we would tape a cardboard devider between the 2 halves of the screen to keep the other team from looking at your position.

Would it be possible to do a jump back 10 seconds thing in PJ64? Kinda like the save state thing, but for quicker "Oops"

O this is something small and shouldn't be hard to fix at all. After running a game, and then ending emululation, the title of Project 64 at the top still has the games name in it like this "YOSHI STORY - Project 64 Version 1.6". It seems like the games name shouldn't be there anymore if they game isnt even being played.

First of all I want to thank PJ64 team for such greate N64 emulator and for this topic. Thanks alot men.

The things I would love to see:

More framebuffer effects and at better speed, so we, who not have Voodoo could see those nice things too (especially in Conker, Perfect Dark and ZeldaMM);

-movie recording (like Mupen64) and free camera movement (like Nemu) support
. These two could make a very interesting mix;

-hi-polygon models. Orkin worked on this but there are no news about it. I think it would be very important improvement because it will not change original game's look but make it more present-day. And of course hi-res textures are wanted too, it is just different thing, like modz. And these modz sure will be prettier with hi-poly;

-hotkeys for changing control range. That is very useful for needing more accuracy moves like targeting or geting over dangerous traps. And that would be even better if You add another hotkey which will change movement to saved range while it pressed, then for this key we could assign in-game target mode too;

-hotkeys for video plugin tweaks;

-play games like Super Smash Bros. and Wave Race in fullscreen without borders;

-some target in Golden Eye all time (like in Perfect Dark and pc shooters) not just in targeting mode. Maybe laser dot?

Thanks again and good luck to You guys.

I agree, togglable overscan simulation/compensation would be great for those games with large black borders. It also 'fixes' the artifact problem in Ocarina of Time where the map icon appears in the extreme top left of the screen in Hyrule Field (normally this gets cropped off on a real N64 through overscan).

How about screen buffer overlay effects? Things like a bloom effect, or partial HDR like screen filter system, or a distance based blurr filter that gives a depth of field look, or even color modulation or paint effect filters to make it look like the game is being played on a scratch board or on a canvas. Those types of effects that you can apply to images in photoshop etc. That would be wayyy cool.
