Hey, you know, we're alike in a lot of ways. I just started school 2 weeks ago, softmore year. I'm into computers too, although my knowledge is limited to what i've taught myself, because i can't take any computer classes until i pass intermediate algebra this semester. I'm probably going to into something along the lines of what you said too. my brother's in college right now at devry, he's taking this electronics engineering course or something, and i'm thinking of taking that too after high school. I've seen some of what he does in there, and it's looks really cool. He just started this year so he's just getting into the basics right now, learning about transistors, resistors, capacitors and electrical currentsBlueFalcon7 said:I still havent started school. (I start the 5th of September) but this will be my 3rd year in high school out of 4... But eventhough Im big into computers now, Im probably going to go into electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, then into something like areospace engineering.
Oh and at my school, I hang around with the other computer guys, and we play around with the school network. It gets really fun when we proxy into blocked sites and the network admin starts yelling at us and sais "Dont FTP the site"
Well, that's pretty much what i do now that i had to quit my job to go back to school.Slougi said:Drink beer, watch porn, scratch my balls. I think that just about covered it.
Im taking Calc next year, Im taking precalc/Trig now (I already got my textbook, and it looks easy.) I want to get Calc out of the way before I go college, and so I can take non Euclidean Geometry, Algebra 3, and 4, and all that fun stuff. Im in an elective crunch (I still have required classes to take) so If that clears up, I will probably take programming, and AP programming next year. I have to be in Precalc/trig to take that class, so not many people get to take it. Only those who are good in math.legend of zelda said:Hey, you know, we're alike in a lot of ways. and stuff. He has this kit, and he has projects and stuff he has to do at home, they just give him all the parts he needs to built whatever he's building, and he has put put it all together and make sure it works right and stuff. He lets me help him sometimes when he's assembling and soldering stuff. I helped him built a power supply, and just the other day this cool waveform generator. I was going around testing everyones hearing with it and freaking out my dogs. There's also a big plus also to going into this career, I hear it has a big ass salary, which is awesome. You what's weird though, just about everyone i hang out with at school is pretty much computer illiterate in my opinion. They're cool though, just not into computers.

THIS MAY BE A QUOTE FROM ADAM SANDLER IN BILLY MADISON BUT, GOOOOOO!!! BUT SERIOUSLY, CALCULUS!? PARDON MY FRENCH, BUT YOU MUST BE A FUCKING GENIUS/SUPER GEEK! AND SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY THINK ALGEBRA IS HARD! WELL, YOU JUST MADE THEM LOOK LIKE RETARDS! oops, left caps lock on there. But seriously, I feel retarded now just by being in algebra, calculus makes algebra seem like math for a first grader. And what the fuck does non ucleadian mean?BlueFalcon7 said:Im taking Calc next year, Im taking precalc/Trig now (I already got my textbook, and it looks easy.) That's life.slougi said:Drink beer, watch porn, scratch my balls. I think that just about covered it.
well, judging from that picture you posted, you don't look like a nerd imo. I don't think you can call someone a nerd just because they're smarter than you, but by their personality. But then again, i don't know you personally.BlueFalcon7 said:I get that alot...
I also get: "Your a nerd" but thats mostly because I hate watching sports, and Highlights on TV.
And also keep in mind that Im going to taking Calculis as a Senior in High school. Its actually an AP class (advanced placement) where I get college credit. Im taking pre calculis now as a Junior. But Precalc looks easy, and I guarantee you that Algebra 2 will be easy.
Non Euclidean (my bad forgot the E) Geometry is... well there was a guy in like 300 BC named Euclide... well read what wikipedia has to say here but non Euclidean geometry (if Im spelling that right) is geometry where a triangle might not always have angles that add up to 180 degrees. Clements or some coder whos actually taken the class might be able to explain it better.
Edit: YAY 500th post!!! half of 1,000!!!... OK seroiusly, I have to stop doing this every 100 posts...
