What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

    I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

So, I'm trying to load the texture pack from the OoT Community Retexture Project thread. I'm running Project64 with the Glide64 Final and Rice Video plugins (glide3x.dll is outside of the "Plugin" folder with the Project64 executable.) I have all the Texture Enhancements options set to a T, as shown in that one screenshot.

When I start the OoT rom, the hi-res textures begin to load, like in that last screenshot. However, when it says that 1200+ textures have been loaded (taking up around 330 MB) and still counting, Project64 automatically closes. No error messages even appear. Is there a setting or two I'm missing that isn't shown in the screenshots above?

EDIT: What's the latest revision of Project64 that I could run hi-res texture packs on? Could I run them on Project64 2.0, 2.1, etc.?

EDIT2: I tried loading the hi-res textures on Project64 2.2 with the same plugins and settings. This revision was able to load about 2000 textures (~420 MB) until it caught an exception on line 265 and stopped loading the textures.

I Did everything the same but I kept getting this error message (I'm using 2.3.2.202.) that said this

CN64System::Emulation Starting: Exception caught
File: .\N64System\N64Class.cpp

I would but from my experience 1.6 is the last stable release.

You may submit your own revisions.
