OK, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and get rid of norton. Anyone know a free alternative to Speed Disk? Its the only thing else I use in System works or by norton for that matter except Partition Magic.

It seems that Speed Disk has gotten slower over the years, and add to it that my version (2003) doesn't work in XP SP2... I just use windows defrag, it's about as fast anyhow. As far as free alternatives, there are often "crippled" or "lite" versions of commercial applications to defragment your drives, don't know how good those would be, though. I still got that Sygate Personall Firewall self-installer on my desktop, but have yet to install it. It feels good to ditch the Norton AV and now the M$ (cartoon plz) Firewall, but I don't know if I should turn my current firewall off or not before I install it, or run both at the same time.
