  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

I'm pretty sure the sky has yet to be changed.

As for the other problem, I'm having difficulty also. I'm trying to locate the texture for the ground grass around Kokiri Village. Any help would be appreciated.

i believe these are them, however im not sure

EDIT: Nevermind. Somehow I managed to not get pack two.

EDIT2: Hey, I was playing through Ganon's Tower and I noticed that the enemies' textures are still normal res. However, after delving into the dumped textures folder for many a minute I came to the conclusion that either the textures were not dumped, or that they are verily hidden. Does anyone know where/how to get these textures?

Save a state where you're facing one of those enemies, then delete everything you have in your texture_dump folder (or just move it to another folder) and load the state, after a few seconds close the game again and look in your texture_dump folder. Now the textures should be much easier to find.

You don't necessarily have to delete the old dumped textures. Just sort the folder by date modified. Then you can see in order when certain parts were loaded into memory (before being dumped).

Yea, but there could easily be thousands of textures in just a few hours play.

Thanks a lot guys, I managed to find all the textures for the Iron Knuckles. However, after re-doing the textures and making some dummies, I found that the major problem with the textures was the model they were on. It's kinda lopsided, so textures are stretched across, and its hard to make a good texture for the battle axe when it's put in 3 different directions across the top.

Anyways, I thought I heard someone in this forum once say "It would be easier just to redo the model." Was this just sarcasm, or is actually a way that one could remake a model and input it in the game. And if so, what program could be used to do this.

In the meantime, I'm doing what I can with the iron knuckles, and will hopefully finish up that bush texture if I ever stop procrastinating.

Hey KMan i dont know if you already know this but the files in "Unsorted" (Pack Three) are actually the texture replacements in the fishing place in lake hylia.

Just a heads up. :)

I'm actually interested in helping finish this project. I am pretty good at working with Photoshop and I think I could help out some. There are some textures that I have seen while playing the game that I would like to fix. Could someone explain the whole process to me in a PM or something? Thanks.

Note: With the Hi-Res pack, the lense of truth does not work on things like treasure chests. Is that a seperate texture that needs to be loaded?

As for high-res-turizing the textures, it's easily said and hard to do. You basically just take the image, make it 4 times bigger, than start redrawing it pixel by pixel. I'm pretty sure theres a tutorial out there somewhere.

As for the lens of truth I have no idea. If I get any time later, I might try it out and see what happens.

I guess my question was how do I get the textures I need extracted from the game in order to edit it? And what folder to place it in.

Oh. You just use Rice's Video Plugin, enable the "Dump textures to file" option, then go to the pj64 app folder, /plugin/texture_dump (IIRC.) When you're done editing, just put them into the same folder as all the other hi-res pictures, It doesn't really matter what the subfolder is as long as its in the LEGEND OF ZELDA folder.

Uhm people, could anyone provide a different upload source maybe, please? There's so much good stuff out there like Rapidshare...
On Fileplanet I can't get a single of the packs. I tried with both Firefox 2 and IE6, with really minimalistic security even, but it always tells me this error message when I click the "Download now" button...

Hey everyone just wanted to say how much I'm enojoying the new textures! really helps the experience. And I just have two questions. I've worked on several mods for the half life source engine and alot of those change the experience through music. I'm new to emulation of the N64 and I was just curious as to whether there was a music patch for OoT that maybe changed the feeling a bit? just curious! And my other question was why can't some of the textures be ported over from MM? I personally like the strap for the sword sheath on Link's chest and wish that had been brought over to OoT!

Again, I;m amazed at the work! It makes me want to play it all over again!

Also! I've noticed that the dirt roads in Hyrule field and the track around the lon lon ranch enclosure are missing, am i missing something?

The lack of organization of all of these projects is just shameful, isn't it? I can't find a download link that works, either.

It's a work in progress, so I guess some of the textures (roads in Hyrule Field) haven't been done.

As for the music, I've already asked about that and for now it doesn't seem possible to replace the sounds in game. However, should the possibility for such a feat ever occur, I assure you I will do my best to re-do the music for the game.

If the sword straps for OoT hasn't been done yet, I will be sure to check out the strap from MM as a starting off point if I work on the texture.

And I'll see what I can do about getting a place to mirror the downloads tomorrow.

The download links for this appear to have completely disappeared now. If anyone could upload them or post some mirrors that'd be great.

Cheers.
