  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

Yeah, but it's so tempting... And 1.6 has it's bugs, that's true. I liked 1.5 more, but The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was buggy on the menu with it. With 1.6 it works fine. That's the most important thing for me :)

1.7 has it's bugs too, it's beta software, but it's becoming alot more stable recently and it's a big improvement over 1.6. Seriously though, i can't tell you how to spend your money. if you wanna buy it, go right ahead, just don't be complaining to me if it wasn't worth it for you.

For me I'll probably just send a donation ($20) and wait for 1.7 to come out fully so I can feel good because I supported them :bouncy:

well then we simply have to wait for jabo's plugin to get out, these textures are very good however so the wait time is not too difficult to sustain

I've downloaded the 3 packs and just unzipped the texture folders to the plugin/hires_texture/The Legend of Zelda folder. Kokiri Forest looks incredible and I can't wait to play the game again, however I'm not sure if I've extracted all the files right. Could someone have a look at my folders and let me know if it's right? I've got folders named "unsorted" for example, which suggests to me I need to put the texture files in a a different folder...

The extra folders are there for organization purposes.
Unsorted, I'm guessing, is the textures dumped that have no where to be placed in orginization and revamped anyway.

Link and other character textures

First off, I just got done downloading all three packs for the first time and what I see looks beautiful.
The Second thing on my mind is, how soon will the next release be coming? And, will we see and update on Link's and other main characters textures?

EDIT: Please ignore what I said before, I was hoping for an easy workaround but it doesn't look to be that easy.

As of now I'm working on some textures, my first project being the little bushes that you cut down for new stuff. I'll let you guys know if I come up with anything good.

EDIT 2: I've made some progress on the bush texture. I've got a before and after here:

It's a work in progress, but I'll let you guys tell me what you think needs the most work. Feel free to bag on it as much as it needs, seeing as this is my first texture and I'm undoubtedly going to make mistakes. I'll also attach the .png texturehere.

hey, im kinda new here, but ive been using the high res pack for a little while now, its freaking awsome! but can someone help me out here please? im looking for the texture for link's tunics and hats, it just bothers me how plain they look in comparison to everything else so i want to add a fabric weave texture to it to make it look more natural, but i have no idea which textures they are.

and another thing is does anyone know if there is a high res sky pack? eveything loks great but the sky doesnt appear to have been changed, i dont know if somethings wrong with my pack, or if it just hasnt been updated.

I'm pretty sure the sky has yet to be changed.

As for the other problem, I'm having difficulty also. I'm trying to locate the texture for the ground grass around Kokiri Village. Any help would be appreciated.
