What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

Currently there are only two plugins that work with Hi-Resolution textures and thats Rice and Jabo 1.7. The only way you can get Jabo 1.7 is to donate on the Project 64 website. http://www.pj64.net/main/
There are some problems with Jabo 1.7, but it works pretty well, although texture packs made for the Rice plugin are not compatable with it.

And how the hack should I donate them? I'd like to, but I can't just send the money... I don't have a card.

The only way to donate is through paypal, which does require a credit card for a paypal account. If your not old enough to have your own credit card, ask your partents to do and and pay them $20 (you have to donate at least $20 to get a a PJ64 member account).

Here's the deal: everytime I press start to bring up the inventory screen with the plugin and hi-res on, it crashes and I get this:

Any clues?

I do not know, but try to expand the buffer (in settings or something). This is the firs time I've ever seen this message...

what the heck are partents? jk, but that's what i did kinda. i gave my bro $20 and he paid for it with his card. I don't need to do that now though cause i gots me a jarb and a card. so you guys with no cards can still donate, just ask someone you know with a card if they'll donate for you if you give them the cash.

It's hard to collect 20 bucks here. it's a decent cellary. I got to find a way...
Is it worth to do that for pj64 1.7 and Jabo's new plugin? Are those better than recent versions. Rice don't work well on my PC.

It's probably better to wait for Project64 1.7 and Jabo's 1.7 Plugin because over time they will fix the bugs and improve it.

oh, sorry man, i always think everyone on here lives in the u.s. or england or something. I can understand it might be hard to save 20 u.s. dollars when you live in a country where your currency is worth way less. i would say it's probably not worth it if 20 bucks is a decent salary in your country. just let me say though, jabo's video plugin beats rice's by a longshot. btw, what country do you live in anyways?

In Serbia. You can see that in my profile. I dig holes and pits 10hrs to earn $20 while the dude I'm working for is treatin' me like a dog! Or worse... $1 is 80Din (Dinars) here. So you understand. I hope they will start givin' Pj1.7 for free soon. And start workin' in 1.8. Jabo's plugins are serving me well for all the games, except RE2, for which I have to use Glide64WonderPlus.

well, i was gonna reply, but seeing as you just got banned for asking for a gba bios, screw it. Be this a lesson to all, don't ask for roms/bios or anything illegal on these forums, i guarantee you will be banned within minutes.

Well, i was just gonna say it's probably not worth it for you to buy a membership if you have that hard of a time coming up with $20, and since $20 is so much more money for you than it is for someone who lives in the united states. Wait for it to become public and in the meantime, just use 1.6.
