What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

The textures that Amon did for Ganon's Castle are in pack 3. Unless he comes back and changes his mind, they'll stay in there.

I have a native save from the Forest Temple with a few things collected from inside the temple (1 Gold Skulltula + a few keys). I use Project64, but when using native saves this shouldn't matter.

Hmm, i putted the file (sra, not the zip) in the save folder and loaded "Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time (E) (V1.0)" but all files were still empty?!?

And, i still need a mirror or something for Kman's texture pack..

The link on the front doesn't work for me either.

Also, I'm not sure if the packs have been ported to the Project64 1.7 system or not, but it seems Rice is working on his plugin. There have been multiple Betas of 6.1.1. They fix a lot of bugs, though have some issues of their own. I hope you haven't wasted any time converting packs because it may not even be necessary.

Just my 2 cents. (Sorry if I'm totally wrong and releasing the source of the 6.1.1 Beta 10 was what you meant by Rice giving up)

You do not have to pay to download from Fileplanet. They do require that you create an account with them before downloading anything.

They do offer faster downloads with no waiting as well as other features for those that pay for their premium service.

Yea, I finally got the packs through fileplanet. They're a pain, but they still work. If all else fails, I can post a torrent (though my upstream sucks), just let me know.

Anyway...I got everything more or less working. Project64 1.6 kept crashing on me, so I tried 1964. It worked much better (no crashing, significantly faster). 99% of the game looks great. However, nearly all of the store and other faux 3D background textures (like the first part of Hyrule castle town by the drawbridge) don't render correctly. I'm sure this is probably because I'm doing something wrong. Any clues?

P.S. Sorry for being such a noob.

most pre rendered backgrounds can't be loaded. so you are not doing anything wrong

I have to say you guys are awsome keeping this project alive. I keep checking every once in a while to see how progress is as Zelda is by far one of the all time best games, and always fun to come back to. Keep it up and nice job!

Great Work

Keep it up, it looks great. I just love to see that old games are coming back to life.

blizzard sucks though. People were working on making starcraft 3d or something using the war3 engine, but blizzard sucks.
