What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

Possible because it was only two pages away. Some basic searching will find you the answer. Plus, most people put the texture pack files in the first post. It's easier to find.

I just noticed something. In pack 1 that you just released KMan, you forgot to include the big zelda logo in the title screen for master quest. I know one was made, but i think it also was forgotten in pack .20. I remember i found it by looking through the 200 pages of fed's zelda thread. Here it is, found it again by searching for it. I just made a new zip file containing only the master quest logo.

EDIT: And now I know why it wasn't included in the pack. Just tested it and the bottom part of the blade doesn't align correctly with the flame. I'm sure someone can fix this or make a new one though. KMan?

Since this is for world and character textures, discussion of logos and anything that is for Master Quest and not Original should be worked on in the old thread.

The first pack will be coming soon. It will encompass everything needed for Kokiri Forest, Lost Woods and the Deku Tree.

Updates to the pack will be in succession to the areas as you would naturally travel to them. This should make it easier for testing purposes as well.

Thank you for making a much needed revisit to my original textures, Djipi, they look much better now.

Now for some bad news guys... I will no longer be working on the high resolution texture project. I may pop in whenever I have the chance to post comments and such, but as for texturing, I'm afraid that I'm done. I've been offered the chance of a lifetime in my filmmaking career, and since that is where my passion is, I've accepted. In a few years, I'll be on my way to the top, so wish me luck. I won't have any time for texturing, but I wish the best of luck to everyone involved. Fed, for starting this whole thing. KMan, for making this project into what it is today. And especially Djipi, whom has come the farthest since his first attempts. Personally, I am proud that I was there from the beginning (well, page 13, I believe, right after KMan got involved) and I hope to see it finished one day. As for all of the textures I have made, feel free to do with as you wish, just remember me as the base. If Djipi's improvement is any indication, my textures can be greatly improved. I'm just sorry that I was never able to finish Ganon's Castle.

Wish me luck in my newly kick started career...and I wish you guys luck in finshing this giant called the OOT High resolution project. Look for the name Phoenix Williams on the big screen credits in a few years. Goodbye everyone ...at least for now...

This is great news for you Amon! For us it sucks, because we're losing one of the pioneers of the scene. I remember it was you who gave me tips on how to retexture way back when. Thanks for all you've done. Good luck!

That's great to hear Amon. Wish you the best of luck, man.

FYI, everyone- I've been busy this past week with work as I am now out of town and not able to work on it. I'll be back in about a week, so don't get all flipped out and thing that everyone has died, like I know you would.

That was rather useless now wasn't it?

About the guy who is going going into the filmaking career: Good luck. Many things can come from there.

This pack is absolutely stunning. Love playing with it on, but I have a strange transperency problem using this pack. I started seeing this when I was playing with it on. These picture show the problems:

Note: Using ATI Radeon X600 (64MB RAM) with beta 10 of the Rice's Video plugin.

Picture 1: The black spots on the cows are now trasparent holes.

Picture 2: The sheath of the Kokori Sword can be seen right through link's torso... why is this?
And...
Picture 3: When I enter the Pause menu Subscreens, the background ALWAYS comes back to here, but then reverts when I exit.

The reason for the alpha is that you have force alpha belnding on in the graphical plugin settings.

I dont know why the background thing happens, though it hapens on my version as well

Well, I got back from vacation last week, but then I got sick. I think I'm over it now, and should be able to put some more work into it this weekend.

Awesome :)

KMan, is there like a log of everything that needs to be done? Seen as doing the same thing twice is stupid and redundant, and it'd help those who wanna get started on the project.

Aha.. I got it now okay. The frambuffer thing too, though the picture is low qualty (but as long as it works right)

Don't know why, but half of the magic meter's border is missing. But other than that, this texture pack really goes in well. Were any of the bosses re-done?
