The Journey of a Nintendo DS

I'm in dire need of something new too. Mario 64 DS, Wario Ware Touched and Feel the Magic have gotten very boring.. The DS needs more than games that are only fun for five minutes because of mini-games. The touch screen really is showing its gimmicky-ness (which I hope will change with more games.. they should have waited a while and put out a better launch line up.. the PSP's rules).. Still love the DS to death though. Companies need to quit with the mini-game ridden games and make a good game. Might pick up Dynasty Warriors on the 1st of April. Looks pretty cool.

If this trend doesn't change, I think I'll be getting a PSP.. as awful as that sounds.

So? Mario 64 DS makes fun only for 5 Minutes? It took me more than 5 minutes to complete Mario 64 :p

I personally would buy both next-gen handhelds, there are excellent games for both of them in development.

It's typically annoyingly Nintendo. Release a console with a few awesome games. Don't release another decent game for months.

Maybe he's going to flog it on. ;)
I really hope Mario Kart is online.
Also, loving the avatar, Martin. Best one you've ever had I reckon.

Hehe thanks Dave. :p

I have ordered Mario so far (receiving on monday), couldn't find any others that seemed worth buying. Looking forward to Mario Kart though. :D

Yes, same here. I'll defo be importing that one. End of April I think for Jap release, whereas Europe release is December. :yucky:

Ah good old reliable Nintendo delays are back then... just think, by the time they got around to releasing Animal Crossing NGC over here most people had already imported it. Who want's to bet the DS version will be the same "localisation issues" story? ;)

Nope. No tax at all!

Can I just say as well, that my girlfriend just scored 921 on the mini-game on Mario 64 DS, Wanted. How nuts is that?!
Oi! That's a lot. I'm at about 215 now, paused. Needed a break. :p

Yes, the DS is very sweeeet.

Though the lack of games, makes me a bit upset, but hell it plays GBA games. Good bye GBA SP, you have been replaced! Also I've been watching the linux for DS group, and they seem to be getting things along right now, though I need to go buy a GBA flash card (1024MB), and wait. Though it will be sweet to run LInux applications, and to use the 802.11 WiFi on the DS for an Internet connection.

Crazy Linux Hackers, gotta love em'

I have Mario Bros. 64 DS, and almost beat it, I also have the demo for Metroid Hunters, and I was amazed at the use of the touch pad! It was a first person shotter, but it felt like I was playing on my computer with a mouse! I'm getting that ASAP. Also I'm on a waiting list for Sonic Adventures DS. Waiting, for that too.

Well better get back to *cough* work. *Flips open DS*

Not a DS game, but a worthy addition to a DS library.. sounds and looks much better on the DS than it does on the actual GBA, too. :)

Nintendogs? I won't hear a word against it. Gamespot video makes it look quite a funny and unusual thing to play. It has a frisbee, and voice/whistle recognition, c'mon! ;)

Just picked up these 3 gems.. Yoshi Touch And Go, Tokyo Extreme Racer 3 (an oldie, but I love TER) and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. :D Got TER 3 and Aria used because they didn't have any new copies of either one (and not to mention they're cheaper used :p).

Yoshi is actually more fun than I anticipated.. pretty damn addicting, although that doesn't change the fact that it's just a glorified minigame.. not even a story mode. :(

At your service, dood!
I just got my DS today with Mario 64 DS and Wario Ware Touched... First off... i'm loving this little thing, its great! Mario 64 DS is a hell of an improvement on the original, they've revamped a lot of the images, added new chars etc... great stuff 5/5!

Wario Ware Touched is awesome too, I love the little mini games, Wish I didn't have to watch the silly cutscenes though, hehe.

Good stuff! I also agree that Zelda the minish cap looks better on the DS, and damn.. are the DS carts tiny... one wonders why it costs £30 for a game.
