The FOX news offices in New York City were the frequent site of war protests during the last 6 months. The following is a sample of the electronic crawls (big LED sign on the front of their building) that the Fox News Network ran outside of their New York headquarters during these anti-war protests.

1. "Does anyone here have a job?"

6. "Attention Protestors: The Michael Moore Fan Club Meets on Thursdays at The Phone Booth On 6th and 50th"
7. "Yell As Loud As You Want; We're still Not Hiring Phil Donahue"

unfortunatly thats the kind of thing ignorance breeds, they are funny but the fact that it was a major "news" network just makes it sad. They can scream hippy as long as they want but the fact is there is a broad range of people at those demonstrations

In talking to some french people, it seems to me like they would rather see the world burn than have the US be a superpower.
Historicaly, France has been bigger on the imperialist side of things than the US by a long long long shot, so it would not surprise me.

I've read a lot of news sites, and I haven't seen a one saying that Saddam should win, according to france or anyone else... I have seen a lot of polls (some from france) saying the US should take their soldiers and go home and not piss off the arab nations any more than they already have.

What a lot of people in the US (this includes my friends) have done is interrprate "Leave the Arab nations alone" as "Saddam should kick all your asses" or some such stupidity. It's a big mental jump to make, but I assure you, my friends, and the US public in general, never cease to amaze.

Disclaimer: I live in the US too, and I support our troops.
I don't think their leader was right in doing what he did, but that's a WHOLE different story.

I didn't realy think of this until you said that, but it actualy seems like that when you put it that way. I recall before the war hearing from a shitload of people in the arab region, as well as france, that they wanted to see the US "suffer a humiliating defeat." (although the exact opposite happened).
