Faith, you say? My life became such a disgrace after I started going to the church. My father lost his job and a few years later got a stomach cancer, all of a sudden, my brother had a convulsion because of a strange problem on his brain and we had no money to buy the medicine he needed for 4 years; not to mention a lot of other problems that appeared after that. I'm with doomulation, besides if you had been bothering to read this thread NES_Player4LIFE you'll see me, doom and others have made a very good argument against gods... if the only thing your side of the argument can come up with is "YOU GOTTA HAVE FAITH" then go back home and delude yourself all you like.

Ever notice how when people argue over religion the religious side of the debate cannot even form a half decent argument? I am an atheist and trust me I have very strong views against religion in general... I pity people.

its funny that there's so much to back up evolution, but there's almost next to nothing that backs up religon. But yet they always have to insult "non-believers" or try to convert them. (I don't know how many times I've had someone knock on my door and have me to join ther religon, or join there church or something like that...) everyones allowed to express their belief's, but you also have to tolarate them. religious people just don't seem to get that most people these days believe in reality, not fantisy.

I don't hate jesus christ, (and I don't even know you...) his excistance is just questionable... very questionable. if he does exist, then I shall believe and respect him. but so far, there has been no Proof of his exsistance. without proof then it is extremily hard for me to believe in religon, especially when there is so much proof of evolution. You're probably sitting there going "you shouldn't question the exsistance of our lord" etc etc, but that's just not how the world works. If I told you I could levitate, but didn't give you any proof, you wouldn't believe me right?

and in your second paragraph you told us you pray on our corrupted creation in hope that we will chose the right path (not your exact words) that's a perfect example of religous people assuming they are better than everyone, and everyone should follow there beliefs. people do have the right to make their own choices, you know. especially if theres so much to back it up

Faith is not a fairy tale, religion is; you must tell them apart.

The belief in a higher power is all but beneficial, it kept many ppl in wrong ways (booze, drugs, wife abuse and so on...) straightened out, faith is the power of positive thinking and the human ability to do whatever the hell we want, if God is to be the icon of this belief, he may nt exist but he is at least useful.

i believe, for personal purposes, the existance of "coincidences" so weird that may be thought out by someone else, if you don´t believe it, well there´s nothing i can or want to do about it, i´ll not force myself upon you guys.

I think faith is important because without something to believe in, our life is basically worthless; a mere speck in the universe. Unfortunately that doesn't seem very appealing and there's bound to be more to life than what we can see and feel. Freedom to choose is a wonderful thing, so lets let people who want to choose to believe in God do so, and those that choose not to do so as well. Religion isn't really the cause of problems, the people behind it that become fanatics are.
