Hey, so it's 2008 now and ive had an urge to play through prime again, as of recently i bought a brand new computer and thought i could crank out a lot of extra eye candy by playing it on the pc, so after installing the latest version of dolphin and booting up metroid prime just to see that i'm stuck with a miserable 5-10 fps! =(
System specs:
3,2 Ghz AMD 64 Dual core
4 Gigs of 800mhz DDR3 RAM
Two Sapphire HD3870 in crossfire (Could this cause a problem?)
Now the game was released in 2002 and thats quite a long while ago, and this computer is pretty high end so im pretty sure i can cross lack of hardware-power off the list, so now i turn to the more knowledgable people here for answers, could it be the configuration? mind you i have monkeyed around quite a bit with the settings but found it to run "best" with the default ones.
I'm running Vista 64 Ultimate SP1 which obviously boasts directx 10.1, my graphic card driver is at 8.47 which is the latest (stable) driver.
Maybe its just the game that doesnt work well with the emulator? im completely aware that emulators are very far from equal to the real deal but i was hoping that i could brute-force that and even improve the graphics by playing on the pc, but i don't know!
If you have any clue as to any improvements then please share! =)
