This is my system 2 years ago when I ran win98se. And YES my cpu is overclocking itself like mad. It's been whacked ever since I loaded a corrupted exe that began to reopen itself exponentially, flooding my processes. I did a sysinfo on IRC and it showed my cpu clocked at almost 6.2GHZ!!!!! I promptly dove for the power button.


I AM DEAD SERIOUS! THIS IS REAL! I HAVE WITNESSES FROM THE IRC CHANNEL!

I'm sure that Intel would love to get their finger on this cpu now. Ever since I installed win2k though, the cpu has clocked back to normal speed. But if I put win98 back on, the cpu will overclock to 2.2+ while it loads an app, then clock back down when it idles or nothing is happening.
