What distro? It's kinda hard to say, but I guess Mandrake.

Yes its mandrake, its the only distro I never had any big issues with.

mandrake is a good distro, huge bloatness, but overall good. Configures everything ~almost~ perfectly... well perfectly to those who don't know what going on in the background

Actualy, I think lindows has taken over as the top newbie distro. Installs in like 20 minutes, and not a single bit of configuration necessary for the end user. Plus, its package manager far exceeds mandrakes RPM.

I was thinking of using gentoo but I always get intimidated by the installation procedure.

If you can follow directions, its not hard at all realy. Just takes a while.

The icons came from a lot of different packages so i zipped the one i used, the've got other names to because i used the norton systemworks icon for programs and the trillian icon for my network places...
