  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

Problems with retexturing Zelda OOT

Hi,
as you already read, I have problems with retexturing Zelda.
First of all, i use Rice Video Plugin 6.1.1 beta 10, Pj64 1.6, Windows XP and Paint.NET.
Dumping the textures work quite well, but when i change them and want to load them into the game, it sometimes (not everytime) doesn't work.
I also tried all textures, because it sometimes dumpes the same in different folders, but it doesn't work.
One thing I thought of is that it is also importent, what bit-depth it has.
When I change .PNG files, i can choose between 8, 24 and 32 Bit.
What should I use, or could it have another reason?

You will need to make your textures 32-bit where their names say 32-bit in them, 24-bit where they say 24-bit, etc.

Also saving PNG files with their GAMA chunks might not work IIRC

By the way, you should use mudlord's continue of Rice Video, which you can download here:

Theres no 32 or 24, etc in their names.

What is a GAMA chuk?

EDIT: I installed mudlord's Rice Video Plugin and it works fine, thanks.:bouncy:
