Hello everyone,
I decided to make some logos/icons for PJ64, I've made two so far and I would like to know what you folks think about them,

Programs Used:
Adobe Photoshop CS2 v9
Adobe Illustrator CS2 v12
IconCool Studio v3.0

I replaced the icons in Project64 with the ones I created so that you can see how it looks when they are actually used by Project64.

Err.., sorry looks like I made a silly mistake, I designed icons instead of logos. I assumed that it was icons that we could create since that current red PJ64 logo is used primarily as an icon and is inside the voting poll on this thread.

Creating a logo with fancy stuff wouldn't matter if the logo was going to be used in 64x64 or 32x32 size like the current PJ64 logo because you wouldn't be able to see much detail once it was that small, but if the logo is something that will be used separately in perhaps the "about Project64" or language selection box when you first start up the emulator, then that's something different...

So I guess I'll start creating some logos instead of icons...

But, hmm, the logo and icons COULD use a nice remodeling. But leave that up to the GFX editing pros.

Well, if you ask me, the Project 64 SHOULD be redesigned. But come on--pretty much none of the logos posted in this thread appeal to me.

Maybe were just being a bit narrow minded (no offence, I've seen some nice things )
Why doesn't someone just come up with a completely new logo, that has absolutely nothing to with N64, Nintendo or the previous PJ64 logo. Something simple, yet stylish (not to demanding I hope ). I don't quite have the skills for it, but I'm pretty damn sure some of you out here do!

yes, we are seriously thinking of changing the icons/logos. we're just busy atm. when it gets closer to 1.7 final we'll probably literally go through this thread and pick the ones we like best. to use them we must be able to contact the author to check you give permission, make final tweaks etc. so don't totally disappear!
