Meh, the original is much better but could also use some work. Yours just looks like you're trying to cram a bunch of stuff into a small space. Stay simple.

ok, you want my comment .. I can not say I am hugely fond of the currrent pj64 logo/colors and some of your ones are better, but if I going to change these things I am going to take a whole approach, what color scheme am I having, so there is css on the site, 16x16 icon, 32x32 icon, logo in about box, logo on home page, possible background to site ... Looking at a complete branding issue not just one elemenent
let me try a different way, some of your icons are better then what we have. But I am not going to change just one element. If I am going to change part then I am going to go over the whole branding, so icons, logo, color scheme, web site would be all be redone at the same time to match.

When do you expect to change the site layout/logos? I'm assuming it will come with the release of 1.7 but I want some clarification. I'd like to submit some stuff myself.

i should probably manage this i just have trouble working up the interest, its more fun watching what zilmar's doing to the core 
if someone can come up with a complete logo+icon set that looks good and doesn't have any weird problems (?!) it'll almost certainly get used

Eh... I don't like it. I like the current PJ64 icon because it has something that lets you know that it is PJ64. I like it when programs have something that makes them unique, even if it is something as small and petty as an icon. I also don't like how this icon is so... Unoriginal. All it is, is an N64 controller. Now, PJ64's current icon may not be the most original thing ever, but at least it hasn't been done before...

Sorry I haven't donated. Higher powers than mine wont let me use their credit card.
I think using the joypad for an icon is a good idea, but rather than use the entire joypad it might look cooler to emphasize just part of it. The zsnes icon for example is very nice because it only includes the 4 main buttons. I make a quick mock up of what the icon could look like. Replacing the a&b buttons with the letters p&j helps to incorporate both the name of the emulator and the look of the original controller.

yeah we could probably give an account to the person whose designs we use - assuming they aren't already a member we gotta agree on that though.
