Adaptoid support was never finished for 2.1. It's still on the To Do list, and unfortunately I've got lots on my plate right now. If someone else wants to take a crack at it and submit a patch that's fine by me. For now the best option seems to be the official PJ64 Adaptoid plugin with real mempaks and rumble paks if possible.

I want to try out this new version, but it refuses to show up in the list of plugins. The debug version works but then I'll have to deal with that ever increasing log file. Any idea why this is?

I've updated the RELEASE version to 2.1 rc1. Please try it out and see if you can select it in the list, and make sure it works properly.

The RC is still not valid. :(

What exactly do you mean? Please be more specific. What emulator are you using? Are you saying that the debug plugin shows up in the list of selectable plugins but the release version does not?

PJ1.7
Debug shows up - release does not

PJ1.7 isn't officially out yet, so I haven't messed with it. There was something changed in the controller spec, which might explain things. Do you have the same problem with 1.6?

It works for me on 1.6 (I can select it and the configuration dialog opens up, I haven't tried actually running it), the issues with 1.7 are a thing to be sorted out another day. Though, I know for a fact, that it isn't showing up in the list of plugins for 1.7. And yes, I checked all the files and directories.

Off topic: Project65 sounds 1337. I'll have to check it out when it exists.

Guys, I'm not sure what to tell you. I've got two separate XP machines here, both running PJ64 1.6 and the .dll file copied into the plugin folder, and both detect and run the rc version just fine. Does the 2.00b Release not show up either?

I've only tested on my laptop, so you're getting the Vista end of the deal. As I said, the rc is working on 1.6. The 2.00b and 2.1 debugs both showed up and worked in 1.6 and 1.7 on XP and Vista, for me.

This new version requires you to have MSVCP70.dll

I put it in my Windows/System folder.

Before it showed a message that this dll is missing, and the plugin didn't show up in the list =]

I hope it fixes your problem

Hey you're right. That fixed the problems with 1.7, even if you're not supposed to have it. Get the most up to date "MSVCP70.DLL" from dll-files.com and stick it in your C:\Windows\System32 folder. It's a source you can trust.
