Well, I'm not considering if they are going to bomb the new WTC again, the fact is that this cool buildings are about to be constructed. How long they'll stay stand up? Only God knows :plain:

the point is not the risk of being bombed, its the problem that evacuating a tall building like the wtc in a few minutes is extremely difficult how we all had to find out a damn hard way.

it's really not that hard when a proper system is in place AND is followed. my uncle was in the second tower when the first one was hit.he got out FAST. then there were people downstairs and outside telling him to GO BACK IN. that EVERYTHING WAS OK. he told them they were crazy and that everyone needed to get out because we were under atack. there was PLENTY of time for everyone to get out of tower 2 alive and ample time for everyone below a certain floor in tower 1 to get out in time. but nothing is perfect in life. we can talk about large and small buildings being unsafe.

Yes, what are you complaining about?

I am not complaining, I am merely putting my opinion forward. But you don't like it when someone makes a comment that you dont agree with. Jeebus get over yourself for once

One half of this whole topic seems to suggest a nation shouldn't build something that is gonna massivley benefit them, and at very least in bringing trade back to the centre of commerce, as well as generating more tourism... The number one thing however is the "propaganda" if you would.. You can attack america but just because your a bully doesnt mean america should run and be scared. Thats a fair sentiment imho..

Thats the key to this whole thing, there was a horrible crime commited and now the dust has long since cleared there is an opportunity for lots of business space and indeed tourism. This new building and surrounding features take advantages of those! Is it so dumb to build something that would stand an aeroplane collision but more importantly generate business, jobs and money? I don't think so

It's sad when a country thinks its more important than any other....especially when they make that judgement on the state of its military ;)

Wait, isn't this being both anti-american and complaining?

What happens if the new one gets built and destroyed then, build another? After the first attack I would have thought some common sense would have been used but hell its your money to waste :D

Wait again...isn't this being paranoid about terrorist attacks?

You know, the stuff about you guys being anti-american I honestly don't have any care or concern if you were or not, I never even thought about it, but once you guys started suggesting that I was accusing you of being anti-american, I started noticing that you were in fact being anti-american. I realy don't care if anybody is anti-american. Given who we are, that is only to be expected. Where you cross the line is when you start blowing up our WTCs.

Are you comparing me to a terrorist? Because at this point it seems you are comparing people who voice their views to terrorists. Of course I may have misinterpreted ;)

No. See, theres a huge difference between terrorizing and just plain not liking americans in general. What you are doing is demonstrating that you are anti-american in that respect. I don't like it that much, and it does bother me to see people constantly complain about every damn thing we do, but when it realy comes down to it, I gives a damn. It's not like its going to change anything.

BTW, wtf is splitting hairs?

like hell u dont care ...

Why should I? If they aren't blowing up our buildings, they aren't getting in our way. If they want to spend their time complaining about every move we make no matter if its good or bad, who gives a shit? They are just complaining just for the sake of complaining. Whether they like us or not it makes no difference.

You know what I see? People get pissed off about americans having the money to build a big tower that is the tallest in the world. You guys think its a waste of money because it make no sense for you guys to build a tower that big. However, if you guys picture youself being an american, building the tallest tower is a great idea: It shows the strength of the American people and the strength of the American economy. It also shows that the american people will not be backed down by some stupid terrists. I can see a whole lot of Jealousy going on here, so if you don't like it, go build a tower yourself somewhere in your own country. If you want to be the best, work for it, don't complain all the time.

I mean, building a tower would accually be economically and socially advantageous to America right? :)

I suppose we may as well let you think that, since you dont actually read what we say. You dismiss everything as "anti americanism" instantly without even thinking about what has been said. So yes, we are evil anti americans....and we eat babies too:baaa:

Again, theres a difference between being a terrorist and being anti-american. The majority of the french are anti-american for example, yet they aren't terrorists. And so far as dismissing what you say, I can't see anything concrete against building a new WTC other than anti-american sentiment. You claim money reasons, yet I fail to see any reasoning behind that. You also claim safety reasons, and I only see cowardess behind that, if not simple anti-americanism.

In other words, you have not given any valid reason of why not to build a new WTC, the only logical conclusion is that you don't want to see it built because of your anti-american sentiment.

Well from what you guys have been acting... It certainly do look like Jelousy.. Americans build it because they all WANT to.. whats wrong with that? They have got the Money baby :p

Thats what I said, :) you might not like it in your country, but the americans will definately like it. If they want to build it, they build it. Its economical need, and its a respect to the 3000 dead people.
