It's sad when a country thinks its more important than any other....especially when they make that judgement on the state of its military ;)

What happens if the new one gets built and destroyed then, build another? After the first attack I would have thought some common sense would have been used but hell its your money to waste :D

oh i see now. we should just GIVE IN and let terroists destroy what we have because it's OK for them to do so. i was totally confused but now i get it:plain:

if we dont rebuild it says that we are afraid that it's going to happen again. and we shouldn't be afraid because we have a colorful alert system that tells us when an atack might happen.

both of those coments have a hint of sarcasim but the fact is we need to rebuild to give people back their jobs (and they were important jobs) and we have to rebuild to say that the U.S.Of A. ain't no punks and will NOT let a group of terrorists destroy what is ours without a fight and without rebuilding.

you cant fit as many offices in a flat building as you can in a tall building. it's just common sense. they're using the limited space they have to create the maximum amount of jobs.

Why don't you just never drive a car since its possible to get in an accident?

Man, you guys keep telling me that you aren't anti-american, yet I fail to see it. I simply fail to see the purpose of opposing building a taller building. If canada were to do it, would you still oppose it? And why?

Well my soul purpose in life is not to humour you and pronounce "america america yay!" on a daily basis. So point out all the "anti american" comments if you wish and ignore all the others to further prove your point, kthnx:emutalk:

AlphaWolf, by any chance have u considered that a critical comment on the usa or the american government is not neccesarily anti-americanism? :baaa:

Cmon guys is it really fair to bash for innovating and doing something thats never been done before? This is what the americans do better than anyone else in the world. They disregard expense and just fcking do it.

This is the best thing about Americans not the worst. The spirit to not to do something because it is easy, but because it is hard, and building something will be enjoyed by millions should not be criticised.

Btw the designs for this thing are far better than that stupid dome our government coughed up shed loads for, have a read, this thing is incredible!

hrm ... depends on the way u wanna look at it. i personally dont give a rats ass about skyscrapers. if u like em, fine - but it really comes down to personal taste.

This is the best thing about Americans not the worst.

well ... ah, never mind. as a fan of capitalism i can understand u making that statement. but never mind.

Nevertheless, the question still stands: If this were canada, would you oppose them doing it, and why?
