In the advanced settings can you disable the "pause emulation when window is not active" option and see what happen ?

Ah hah! Now I can see an error message. N-Rage's classic no mempak folder message. I create the folder, then everything works fine. :D

BTW, you mentioned that Azimer helped you improve sound timing. Does this mean Mupen works properly with his new sound plugin?

Great work Hacktarux!
My problem is that when i turn to Dynamic Recompiler, Mupen crashes when i try to load a rom, but with Interpreter and Pure Interpreter i have no problem.

I must say the new feature to save plugins per ROM, is AWESOME!!! I know myself and several other who have wanted this in an EMU for some time now. Thanks so much for adding it.

I'll post more comments as time allows through my work week.

Can someone test 0.2 and NRage plugin, when mempack folder doesn't exist,if they have same kind of lock up (pause emulation when windows not active should be on)?

Something really weird with that pause... resume... pause... resume.

Emulator should pause when window loses focus,or you go to menu,if pause when idle option is checked, otherwise it should not pause.

And NO point in testing dynarec mode.It just doesn't work yet.
Read the pdf file, that comes with mupen...

hi there !
this is my first time using mupen, and it already feels great similar to 1964...even little better
the speed is soo FINE!!
and if i press stop it stops--> FAST
anyway i have a problem:
th gfx run VERY fine with the emu
but the sound does not, i have tried :
Soundplugin: Azimers 0.4b with
-buffer size to default
-sync to game (with and without)
RSP: hacktarux
- process a lists inside RSP
- process a lists by emu defined plugin
- by Azimers 0.5b

but the sound is still stuttering , why is that so ?
i have tried this on Super Mario 64
hope anyone can help me with this :)

There is no "Pause emulation when window is not active" option in 0.2.

BTW, I've been playing around with audio settings, but I seem to get slightly crackly sound no matter what. What are the best plugins/settings?

Right,i forgot that i added it only in 0.3,lol.
In 0.2 it was always stopping emulation by default, but it worked abit different,so my question was : if problem with different alert messages during emulation and lock ups because of that, was happenning or not ? (it never happened on my machine)

For me best plugins is jabo sound ,gfx and input and Hacktarux hle plugin on it's default setting (process alists by rsp).
Hacktarux hle plugin gives a speed boost by ~10 vi's over Pj64 rsp on my computer.

Do u have tried disabling frame limiter (and let audio plugin sync to game) ? do u have tried using latest azi's plugin ? i think mupen64 is compatible with it. That's just a few ideas, let me know what results you're getting.

if i use the basic sound plugin, then play Banjo-Kazooie, it says Failed to Lock and the game crashes.

That's a problem with basic audio plugin, i should compile a custom version without this error message.... anyway it can be solved using another audio plugin.

OK, I can get perfect audio by the following:

1) Disable Limit FPS (Auto)
2) Set the RSP to process Alists with Azimer's HLE Audio 0.55.1 Alpha
3) Set the Audio plugin to Azimer's LLE 0.50.2 Beta or Jabo's DirectSound 1.5. If using Jabo's, select Sync game to Audio in plugin settings.

However, in my testing, Azimer's LLE syncs at less than 60 VIs/sec, and Jabo's syncs at more! But at least the sounds doesn't crackle.
