What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

mdtauk, although it isn't Celshaded it doesn't mean it's amazing! Really, great work guys! You said you had started to work on a cel-shaded version, where could I see that beginning?

On a slight tangent, I really would like to say that after this pack is finished (and Federelli's for OOT), the N64 title would quickly be graphically superior to those increasingly crappy 3d Sonic games. As a fan of the old school Sonic titles, I became increasingly wary of the new 3d titles, to the point where, after watching the first two trailers of in game Shadow t Hedgehog, I was turned off from even playing it. The graphics are last generation, the camera is awful, and the objectives increasingly monotonous and, in the case of item searching, simply offensive.

When I saw the recent revelation of high res texture mods, I did quite the double take. Djipi's cell mod made OOT look superior to Wind Waker in quite a few areas, and looked better than anything the 3d Sonic team has thrown at us since. Now, this mod is looking to be an astounding graphical overhaul of Majora's, and I'm now itching to finally clear this game. What I'm trying to get at is that your work makes Nintendo's Zelda outshine those recent Sonic games easily, and proves how remarkably well these Zelda games stand over time. Bravo, and keep up the good work!

In terms of video plugins, iif Orkin releases that graphics plugin with the ability to cell shade, I wonder how well it would work compared to dedicated cel mods like Djipi's. If it works exceedingly well, such a mod would potentially take the ongoing works of Djipi and mdtauk and cell shade these wonderful models. If that's the case, everybody might love this mod, even those that want this game cel shaded. Hope it works out well.

While I'm at it, can you guys help me out here? Project64 v1.6 boots awkwardly for me. I get two errors before it boots the plugin screen to select the plugins. I have to select another plugin before reselecting Rice's to get the plugin to work everytime. Anyone with a solution?

Finally, it would be nice if certain recommended video plugin settings came with the release of this pack. This way, we can experience this the way it was intended to be seen by the pack authors. I know I had a few problems using OpenGL, including, but not limited to, the red heart in the menu showing heart pieces was white, and characters phased in awkwardly.

Bla bla bla..ok.. i get your point, but i just asked with he could do it, don't come with "don't question it" who the hell u think u are? anyway this project is GREAT but, still... i prefer the cell shaded one...well Djipi and mdta keep up the good work

btw, i just don't do one, because i don't know how, but...anyway majoras mask really fits better in this realistic thing then the OOT would do, MM is less...childish

well...see ya

I agree with you Lucas, I think that comment by Pedrocasilva was highly inappropriate. You were simply suggesting, not ordering, and I think this is one of the main ways flame wars start. So in future pedro, keep your opinions to yourself. A suggestion is a way of proposing an idea, and an order is totally different.

BTW Djipi, I loved that last screen!!! It looks so beautiful
But why suggesting something they already ruled out? doing a cell shaded majora mask would be the "easy" path, I won't tell them I'd prefer a cell shaded version, or suggest them to make both.

As of "who I think I am" I'm simply a poster, so like I said I won't make a post suggesting things like "a cell shaded mod would be better", I won't question anyone, as I feel I dont have the right to do that, but you're right, you didn't say that bluntly, it was constructive enough.

I'm not flamming though, I just think that lots of people saying that they prefer a diferent thing than the one shown might bring desinterest for the current work for their creators, so I didn't post only to him, as I said I've been reading all these comments in this thread and some pages ago it felt like "it was better if you guys did a cell shaded version" multiplied by a tenfold. I just don't find that very encouraging to the creators. So I replyed thinking of all those past comments not to yours alone.

Anyway I'm sorry If I was rude it wasn't my intention specially knowing that Lucas_It was very polite in what he said.

(Sorry, as these posts were already one page behind but I got mario kart DS in the 26th so I was too budy in the last few days)

Both are great  Too bad you can't produce the two versions :p

But realistic is a good idea, continue the good job

Amazing. As for the eyes, they look fantastic albeit a bit out of place. I think the main problem may be overuse of shadows... perhaps try losing some of those and brightening them up a bit.
