The game gets much slower (anywhere from half to 1/10th the frame rate depending on circumstances) if the window spans multiple monitors (was trying to split the split-screen
). On the other hand if monitor rotation is enabled (single monitor; 90, 180, or 270 degrees) the game runs extremely slow (1/10th to 1/20th normal frame rate) to the point of causing system/mouse lag (only in windowed mode--runs fine with rotation in full screen mode).
I'm guessing this issue is pretty universal, but here are my test specs:
PJ64 v1.6, default plugins (Jabo's 1.6 all around)
Goldeneye 007 (also experienced with Perfect Dark, haven't tested others)
2.0-GHz Core Duo. 1.0 GB RAM
Mobility Radeon X1400, latest Omega drivers (3.8.413; also experienced with older Catalyst drivers)
Windows XP Pro Tablet PC Edition (5.1.2600 SP2)
DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
integrated (DVI) 1280x768 and external (VGA) 1440x900 LCDs
