How to change the damn uCode...?

I've searched up and down this forum, and all I've found, were people asking this same question, and not getting an answer to it:
How does one change the uCode-ID for a specific game using Project64?

I read the Help-file, and it says I should look in the RDB-file for instructions, and the RDB-file says to use the GUI to avoid problems...but it doesn't say anywhere HOW to change the uCode. What should one write in the ROM-settings, or where ever I'm supposed to do this?

I found a great combination of plugins (glN64.dll by Orkin, and Jabo's sound plugin (for some reason my favorite audio-plugin, from UltraHLE2064, doesn't work with Project64, which is a shame, cuz it's really good)), and everytime I start ex. Mario Kart 64, it asks for me to manually choose a Microcode. It works fine with F3DEX1 (ID 7), but how do I set it to automatically choose this format?

I'm prolly a n00b to ask this question, but I just pulled out my emulators again two days ago, as they've been collecting dust for 3 years...

For glN64(), if you get a uCode message, you get a choice of uCodes. The automatic uCode detection in glN64() is not perfect so messages will pop up with certain games. Some uCodes may not be implemented. You can't change the uCode before loading a game with glN64(), and with other more advanced plugins (in this area) you don't need to (Jabo's latest plugin).

A good, basic source for finding out which game uses which uCode is the Glide compatibility list. (that comes with Glide64)
