But if it's illegal to rip the disc, how the hell do you get roms for this anyways?? OBviously Someone is ripping them. Bleh.MiretanK.O said:if i'm reading right, you're trying to run the game from your gc disc, right?
if yes, forget it. you cannot run it from disc cause your cd/dvd drive is not able to read gc discs. the only thing you can do is to rip the mini-disc.
ah, and you can't ask how rip it here. it is an illegal practice.
Illegal or not, this is not an allowed discussion for this forum.Chie said:But if it's illegal to rip the disc, how the hell do you get roms for this anyways?? OBviously Someone is ripping them. Bleh.
Some people do do illegal things. Do you know how much music is illegally swapped online? Right now the only way to run a GC game on your computer is to either obtain an ISO by some illegal means, or rip the innards out of a GC and somehow adapt the drive so it will work on a computer with the emulator (probably not gonna happen). Since it's prohibited to discuss methods of obtaining illegal things here, you're on your own getting yourself an ISO. They're out there, but we can't tell you where or how to find them.Chie said:But if it's illegal to rip the disc, how the hell do you get roms for this anyways?? OBviously Someone is ripping them. I surely hope you don't think that ISO's are ripped by tearing apart a GC and somehow fusing it with a PC, as I can assure you, it's a bit more technical (and cleaner) task than that.Toasty said:Right now the only way to run a GC game on your computer is to either obtain an ISO by some illegal means, or rip the innards out of a GC and somehow adapt the drive so it will work on a computer with the emulator
No no no.generalplot said:I surely hope you don't think that ISO's are ripped by tearing apart a GC and somehow fusing it with a PC, as I can assure you, it's a bit more technical (and cleaner) task than that. It's more along the lines of using the broadband adapter and a certain game. But I can't get into the specifics.
