as i can see i have to change the "Operation Completed" message to "Operation Completed. You can find your image *Gamename* here: *ExoBoot folder*".
I hope this program is usefull for a lot of guys. With the new version of chankast you can use utopia so i think most of the guys will use it.. If in the next release chankast support non-bootable games then im affraid that the only person who will still using ExoBoot will be me :)

i'm having a hell of a time gettin this to work now. i've tried 18_wheeler and capcom vs snk2 to remove the dummy files wich are 0a.dat and 0.dat respectfully. after copying the files to a temp directory (without the dummy file) i then use the "data to image" option. i then use diskjuggler to burn the image to a cdrw. then use diskjuggler again to create another cdi image so i can use it with the latest version on alcohol 120 virtual drive. but after doing all that it just boots to the bios screen. i did test the games before and they booted in to the game. i have also managed to do this with earlier versions of exoboot with success. most games i have now are self boot i just need an easy way to del the dummy file. is there a way to reach in and delete the file from within the cdi image? if the next version of chankast does indeed play non-selfboot cds then removing the dummy file would be the only use for this app. maybe u could look into coding something like this. thank you.

Your game is already bootable right?and you want only to remove dummy files.insert the image into daemon tools and use cd to cd or image mode.extract the files with my program (select both remove dummy files and my game is already bootable) then remove dummy files and click next and BURn your game into a cd (Don't make an image because it's not 100% sure that it will work). After you have burn the cd use any program you want to make an image of it.try now using this image and tell me if it work's

on the secong screen the one with the "extract" button i choose the virtual drive "h" the the image is mapped to, but under step 3 the "select dummy file" window is greyed and only shows the contents of the exoboot folder. i am unable to select any files to add. if i choose extract then the progress bar instantly fills up , no files are extracted, and the "select" box becomes empty but the "add" button becomes enabled.

i am using daemon tools 3.46 and also tried it with alcohol 120 virtual drive.

also on an unrealated note when i progress past the first screen a box pops up saying the feature you are trying to use is on a cd-rom or other blah blah blah... insert the "misrosoft offixe XP professional with front page" disk and click ok.i then click cancel and another pop up with error 1706 "can't find disk" then click ok on that and it then goes back into exoboot.

there is also a small square button under the "info" button that says Com man d13 vertically on it that is not in your pics

ok i got it to work but i have to use the "data to cd" option and copy the files off the virtual drive first (minus the dummy file) then write straight to cd instead of making a image file. having to not do the copying manully would of course be nice tho. also when using the extraction button (if it does indeed work :)) the option to NOT extract the dummy file should be used. it would cut time off having to copy all files then delete one specific one.

im really sorry about command 13.it was about testing only.i cant understand why it can't extract your image.maybe it has problem with image drivers.i will test it with an image drive and i will tell you.
If you are using mode 1 then the you have to do the extraction.so if you do it only to delete 1 file it doesn't matter because you will not have to do it again later.
I'm uploading again ExoBoot.exe without the command13 for the guys that already have 1,30.just copy it on the exoboot folder.
(And the installation of ExoBoot 1,30 without the command13)
Sorry about that.(i guess i have to test it more times.it takes a lot of time if you are creating the program and in the same time you're testing it)

Hi, I seem to be getting an error message whenever bin2boot is started. It says "The system file is not suitable for running under Ms-Dos" then I have the choice to Continue and Ignore. This also happened during BINHACK, but pressing Ignore allowed it to continue. However when bin2boot comes on, Ignore still cause the application to terminate, the data.iso is deleted and the process is halted. Does anyone know the problem?

Thanks.

Tell me your system.(windows etc..)are you trying making an image?

I'm using Windows XP Pro on a Athlon 2800+. Yes, I'm trying to make an image, but i can never reach the part where it's able to create a .cdi file. After I choose 'Ignore' from the messge I mentioned above, the program says the operationn was sucessfully competed, but no .cdi is ther and the data.iso is deleted. I'm not even sure why I'm getting that message in the first place. Thanks.

I have fix a bug.Sometimes when you select to remove dummy files the program shows the message "The file not found". I will upload an update soon.

Are you sure that you are selecting the directory with your bin files? (bin files must be in the root directory not in other directory like \data)
You're trying to rip the files in the Remove dummy file option or in the cd to cd or image mode?
