Because the main purpose of emulators isn't to play games. Their purpose is to preserve hardware and through that, emulate the target hardware the best they can. Just because one can boot and play games in an emulator is simply a side effect, not the goal.

Exactly, emulators are just another alternative to the original console, for the best experience play the games on the original console.

I guess that everyone has already played the game on his own gc before he tries to play it on a emulator. wow....i'm registered here so long and i haven't made it to make my first post ;)

to this release....great work, but i think i could enjoy this emulator more if it has more fps.

I have a Athlon64 x2 5000+ geforce 8800 gts and 2 gb ram..but only 2 fps

No Fullscreen in Dolphin

Hi, I have a problem with dolphin. I can't enter the fullscreen mode. Ok, this doesn't sound really bad, i could still play in windowed mode. But in windowed mode i have 0,25 fps. And YES I know that everybody has low fps in dolphin, BUT i already played emulator games via the n64 emulator project 64 and there i couln't play in windowed mode because of low fps either, but in fullscreen mode all was running perfect.
Now in Dolphin its a big problem because i can't enter fullscreen mode. If I press the hotkey for fullscreen (alt+enter) i receive an error-message: "Unimplemented Option". I can't even select the resolution for the fullscreen mode!

If it's helpfull to know, I tried to play Super Smash Brothers. I've read that this should normally run with dolphin.

Here some screens:

Full of hope,

where dou you get dolphin x64/ dual core beta? please tell me if you know. i want it.

Please don't do that. Do not ask anybody if you want it. It is not out yet and please do not ask. It is not very wise of you. You want it ? Get Wii or GameCube (It's cheaper right now). :)

He already confirmed that the new version will have 32 bit support (in the posting above yours) and therefore will of course run on a C2D with a 32 bit OS.
