What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

OMG ok problem fixed... I seemed to partially have beta10 installed and partially beta8. I had the readme and stuff from beta10 and in PJ64 it only says Rices 6.1.1 (no beta 8 or 10). Wow... quite a waste of time. At least I didn't start renaming the textures to work. Well, now I can see looks TOTALLY awesome, as apposed to MOSTLY awesome.

Speez you have the same problem as I did. Ok now heres something... the sky seems a bit glitchy.

When I turn in circles the upper left square of sky often glitches. Always the upper left. If I stand still the glitch moves right with the rest of the clouds until it reaches the center and then snaps back. Is this just a problem with mapping to a cubic sky or is this another problem unique to me.

The top part of the menu (on my rom dump anyhow) doesnt load, and this missing texture when you first enter death mountain. I figured all these textures actually are done, and in my folder but since there are probably small diff between our rom dumps they wont load.
I haven't played as far as Death Mountain yet, but I also have that problem with the start menu. I tried six different roms of the game (most of the E and U versions, including the E rom from one of the Gamecube discs!) and it occured in all of them.

Anybody found a fix for it?

Read the post after the one I posted :p
Anyhow heres my tweaks seperated into proper directories. (note: DO NOT JUST DROP AND DRAG THE FOLDERS TO REPLACE ALL) You will need to actually drag the textures into the proper folders manually.

Give me back my floppy face!
The problem is that your graphics card is too crappy. The solution is to buy a new one.

You can't, really. You could try messing with the combiners, or try OpenGL mode. Otherwise, you're out of luck.

Just a tip for a few of you guys who are having speed problems with Rice's plugin... I originally had speed problems (GF4 ti4200) so I went into the plugin options under the "General Options" tab and changed the render engine from Direct3d to OpenGL. This made things about a thousand times faster and it is perfectly playable now. I hope that helps some of you.

Awesome pack, by the way. I've actually never played through the game so this should be a treat.

I tried the rom Djipi suggested (Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time (E) (V1.0) [!]) and still have no sky textures or dirt walls....wtf...can't wait to play with all the textures

Zelda Maniac!!!
Has anyone fixed it so the whole game is textured in English? I put the language to Francais and everything is pretty much textured, but when it is in English only some is textured.

Excellent work with this project Djipi! Vous êtes si doué! =D

I'm having a very small problem with the graphics though, and while it's not exactly limited to this project (though it does occur with this project), I thought why not see what the emutalk community thought about it? =P

It's like a bright line on the edge of certain polygons or textures (the screenshot I provided illustrates it a little). Really distracting. I'm wondering where it's coming from and if I can fix whatever's causing it. I have anti-aliasing & anisotropic filtering set to max, 640x480, RADEON 9800 PRO, Intel P43.0Ghz, DX9.0C, WINXP Professional SP2, ... uh... I think that's all that's important, right?

Any ideas?

Well, I'd start by going into the ATI drivers and finding the "alternate pixel centers" check box and turning that on. That *should* fix that problem. It also *may* help to turn up the screen resolution a bit. try 1280x960 or 1024x768. Its happening because your computer doesn't round to the same level of percision as the n64 does, and it causes "gaps" between the polys ... although IIRC, those perticular jaggies showed up in the real n64 game, too.
