Now this is good news, man!
I'ver played through all Zelda MM with your plugin...(only the Bomber's Note Book is screwed up, unfortunately)...
It's amazing how such a "young" plugin races out all the others..for me at least :)

Speaking of this, will Overscan* and Orkinsampling be fixed in new versions? They worked before the color code and stuff got changed the first time, but not afterwards.

(In case you're wondering why the above is quoted, Overscan* fixes the Bomber's Notebook).

Edit:
* Fixed, used to say Oversampling before Gandalf pointed this out to me.

Orkin, this is indeed great news for emulation :). What i relaly hope is that other plugin makers can make use of your color/depth emulation methods :D

I can't remember what all I worked on before development froze a few months back, but here's what I've fixed recently:
  • Fixed OrkinSampling and overscan simulation
  • Improved depth and color image emulation
  • Fixed a crashing bug related to gSPBgRect1Cyc and gSPBgRectCopy commands
  • Fixed detection of color image usage in gDPLoadBlock command (not sure if any games use it, but it's possible)
  • A little code clean-up to make things easier on myself

Also, can someone with an N64 handy tell me which of these screenshots is more accurate? It would help me to get the fog calculations correct. In both I'm charging Link's sword while standing in Hyrule field. In the first one, the fog effect only covers the surrounding area, while in the second, the fog effect engulfs everything, including Link. Which way should it be?

If I remember it right the fog should be engulfing all when charging the sword.
But i dont have any save on my ocarina of time where I've got the swordcharge yet. (all are restarted)

When the new version of this is coming out im going to do an exception and play under windows =p
(I'm a linux addict, though using a dualboot)

I asked around on IRC this morning, and this is the response I got:

<Ninjy> I think the first picture is more accurate, but it's hard to tell.
<Ninjy> The area around link gets a lot darker as a whole, but about a circle drawn within the full limits of the screen seems to become a little lighter.
<Ninjy> So, yeah, first picture.
<Ninjy> Actually, PL, I'll post a reply to that.
<Powerlord> OK
<Arrow[Sleep]> He's right
<Arrow[Sleep]> I'm pretty sure it's the first picture
[snip]
<Ninjy> Oh, bah, PL, you reply instead. I still haven't received my confirmation mail.

The first image is more correct. While charging, a black fog sweeps the area, but Link is clearly visable in the middle as well as a small area around him, just like Pic #1. Pic #2 is too dark and doesn't show Link and small area around him being brighter. Verified on the real GC version of OOT.

I'll try to get my n64 to work on my TV card and will take a screen of it ;)

/edit : Argh , where's that Power supply ?! :(

When you start charging the sword , the fog looks like on the first pic , and when it charges orange , the fog gets closer to link , something between the first and second pic . At least i got in memory that way ( dang , i still can't find that power supply :( )

Where can it be downloaded??

Any support for Radeon 9800 + cards using latest Catalyst drivers? For instance, Conker BFD has messed up colors, Paper Mario gets black characters, Zelda:OoT has missing sprites and weird hues...Using CAT 4.10 w/9800 Pro on AMD 2400+.

Keep up the good work, BTW. :)

I don't think Conker or Paper Mario have ever worked properly. No idea about your OOT problem though.
