Whats scary about China becoming the dominant power is that they have entirely different views on Human Rights. Theyre influence could have a profoundly negative effect on traditional global norms.

Right. Now think CIA + Cuba. Just because a country doesn't say it doesn't do something doesn't mean it doesn't do it, you muffin.

Didn't you guys read History books? China was once the superpower of the world hundreds of years ago....they were rich, they had a big economy, they had the best merchants....so I think it will become a superpower again.

I would like you guys to remember something: "If i eat 6 chickens and you eat none then both of us eat 3 chicken." What do you think of this? It is true that china`s economy is growing very fast but don`t forget that there are more than 1.5 billion people living there and more than 75% of the families live with less than 15$/month. How can you feed all those people? So china has long time to become the new superpower.

If they had the best merchants, this means that they were smart and if they were smart why did they let the Europeans rule them and make fun of their emperor. This, i guess is stated too in the history books right????? So this means that the Europeans were smarter and better merchants.

It's not the number of people that they need to feed. They are already sustaining that amount of people today. On top of that, they are making stuff and selling it to people outside of China (bringing in foreign currency).

A simplified version of what happens next is that the people who have sold stuff overseas will use that foreign money to pay their poor workers $16/month instead of $15/month.

This repeats and the 75% get richer and richer.

If 15$ a month makes you think that you can live happily, then you`re right.

What you say is true but it is not as easy as you think, because the EU and th US are inventing laws to forbid chinese production from showing in their respective markets. So this slows a little China`s development.

China may be a rich country but that doesn't mean that all the people that live there are neccecarily dead rich. And if no one's ever noticed. China has almost never directly tried to start war, among other countries, unlike the US which thinks starting war is child's play.

Old Chinese saying:
"For every grain of rice you waste, you grow another pimple."
