When I start Chankast the bios keeps repeating. Some people said to delete the bios but this doesn't seem to work. On the older versions its still happens but if I delete all the files and re-install it works.
Now I got Street Fighter III third strike selfbootable but the emulator doesn't detect a disc in the drive. I used Daemon the latest version and Alcohol 120.
The release was an Echelon one so I thought it must be the intro problem thing. So I burned it and put it in the Dreamcast and it plays fine and has no intro.
I then put the backup disc in to the cd-rom drive to try and get it to work but it stil doesn't detect a disc in the drive. I did configure the drive letter correctly at all times. The funny thing is the cd-rom read light never comes on which leads me to believe that the emu is simply not reading the drive. But when I eject the disc and put it back in it says reading disc and then stays where it is. If I select play the bios starts repeating again even after a fresh install.
So what do I have to do to get it to work on Chankast? I really can't play the game with the Dreamcast controls and have better pads (for Street Fighter) on the PC which is why I want to emulate the game instead.
It becomes a very tiring process when it says no disc and to try again I have to delete all files and start over again including defining controls.
And I do appreciate the authors' time and effort which goes in to the emulator but I just wish I could get it to work!
