Where's your memory benchmark scores? I didn't see them at ngemu.. but the ones you did post.. there's little difference in our scores. I actually beat you in the FPU multimedia bench.

I'd bet my ass you won't beat my mem bench scores.. 3.8GB/s raw bandwidth. ;)

Not at all - its only with SSE2 usage. In total performance my CPU is beating yours Celeron.

Ok,Ok - mine is 2.8Gb...

system spec:
AMDxp 2500+@2371mhz
GFX Nvidia 5600 250mb (driver 61.76)
Motherboard msi kt6 delta
Ram 512mb forgot the name and the speed
OS WinXp sp2
DirectX 9.0c

i have noticed a slight speed improvement say about 5 fps over win2k on sf3ts, anyone else has come across something similar?

I don't have any games right now but i'll post up some benches whenever I can.

I myself get 3500mb/s at 227fsb and 3750mb/s at 237fsb. Lets see some cpu scores tho...

10372 MIPs is what I get at 2.5ghz. I don't remember what I got at 2.64ghz.

And actually if Strange's computer is set up correctly, his 12x200 > 2.8ghz celeron @ 3.3ghz.

Hell... a celeron would have trouble keeping up with a barton at 11x200.

There's no retail 4ghz cpu's out, so what cpu is that at stock speeds?

And isn't 4gb of ram kinda overkill?

And I didn't know the agp version of the Geforce 6600 was out yet.

What the hell are you talking about? My CPU a bit faster than Celeron 3.45Hgz and 100% faster than Barton at 11x200

That's what I said

And actually 12x200 tbred = 11x200 barton. I've done the testing.

Really good joke. Myabe you should try to look at my Sandra results first before saying such a nonesense? 2200MhzVs2400Mhz and 2200Mhz is faster just because of bigger L2 cashe?

My system:

Pentium 4 at 1.7 GHz
512 Megabytes of SDRAM
64 Megabyte GeForce 3 Ti 200
Windows XP Home Edition with SP1

Chankast Settings:

Video: 640x480
ZWrite: On
AlphaTest ZWrite: On

Games:

Samba de Amigo:
Between 16 and 21 FPS during gameplay. 48 FPS during title screen.

Soul Calibur:
Between 14-18 FPS during gameplay and between 30-50 during the title and various loading screens.

Jet Grind Radio:
Between 12-16 FPS during gameplay. About 20 FPS in the garage.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2:
Around 40 FPS during gameplay, but then there are major graphical issues like seeing through objects and a black barcode looking thing that is on the ground that follows your skater.

Fire Pro Wrestling D:
Between 3-4 FPS during gameplay.

Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000(Using Capcom Hack)
Around 25-45 FPS during gameplay. Mostly 20-30 during the fights and then it would jump to around 45 FPS when somebody would score a KO. Around 50 FPS during the title and various menu screens.

72??? Now this HD really sucks...

My System:
Athlon64 3200+
1 Gig DDR400 Ram
NVIDIA GeForce6800GT

With DoA2LE ingame I get ~36 Frames with Chankast 0.2A and ~33 Frames with Chankast 0.25. Video Settings don't matter at all, I get the same frames with 640x480, no AA/AF and 1280x1024, 4xAA/8xAF. It still feels very slow, has anyone got this game running at full speed?
Soul Calibur and Sonic Adventure produce Graphic-Errors and Ikaruga runs perfectly, but I haven't looked for the fps (this game is way too fast for an old man like me. :D)

nazraen

I can see you...
Specs
Memory - 1gb RAM (2xKbyte 512 mb pc3200 ddr)
CPU - AMD Athlon @ 1.1ghz
Video Card - Radeon 9600SE
Mother Board - Gigabyte K7 Triton
HDD - 40gb WD + 250gb WD

SFA3:TS 14fps during game play!?
You guys know of any way to get the fps up and how to adjust things like Zwrite, and video settings? PM me if you do.

sorry to say nazraen but i cannot see much being done on your cpu but perhaps in future edition(s) of chankast your fps will increase.

nazraen you will need a much faster processor if you want to see increases in the FPS. I have a Pentium 4 processor at 1.7 GHz and some games run quite slowly on that. Hopefully that gives you a little perspective on the amount of speed you'll need to run Dreamcast games at decent speeds on Chankast. I also believe that Chankast recommends a 2 GHz processor or faster.

Specs are in my sig...

Skies of Arcadia (Patched Echelon) - 25-35fps
Soul Calibur - 15-25fps (In battle)

While I'm here, I'm looking to upgrade my rig to try and get games playing at a better speed. What to upgrade first?

I know CPU would obviously give things the biggest kick, and I was looking at the XP3200+... but is that really a good idea wuth my memory?

Also, I am looking at the XP3200+ because I'm trying my best to avoid having to buy a new motherboard for an AMD64. Is there really a stunning speed difference?

I would expect better performance than that from a XP2600+, probably the weak RAM and small FSB letting it down. If I were you I would save your cash for the Athlon64. A simple A64 2800+ outperforms a 3200+ be a good margin due to it's memory controller. You'll need a new mobo, but the performance of the XP3200+ won't be terribly faster than what you already have, and you'll have no upgrade options. You could just buy new (PC3200 or better) RAM and overclock your current processor to 3200+ speeds for much cheaper too.
