Do you want to use Jabo_Dsound.dll, if so remember to place the msvcr70.dll file into the same folder as 1964.exe, (you can find that file in the defult Project 1964 folder) Then copy the RSP.dl from P64 to 1964 plug-in foldrs. lAfter which activate the RSP plugin. This shuold allow you to use both of Jabos plug-ins.

Below is the difference between Jabos plugin and Rices, J£$o% i^ &ir$$". Note, not the same as the screens above, two images of the same place. Carrinton Insitute on Perfect dark. Notice the texture problems on the wall and crate.

(!)EDITED:(!)

(!) Sorry, Rice plugin is the first pic, Jabos is the Second. (!)

The only thing I can think of is you have FSAA and AA enabled in Jabos when you go fullscreen. These seem to take a bigger hit when used in fullscreen (I noticed the same - my solution was just to slightly lower the degree of AA).

With Rices you could try changing the color buffer type.

The msvcr70.dll is already included in the Package .......
It dont need to be placed anywhere :)

I have an ATI Radeon card. Should I just buy a new GeForce card since Radeon is not supported?

The Radeon is supported, but during the very latter stages of development something was implemented in Rices plugin which caused instabilities with Radeon cards. This is currently being investigated and hopefully fixed as soon as possible and time is willing for Rice.

You may, have some success using Rices plugin purely in OpenGL mode - this is not 100% guaranteed but may work as a stop gap. If not revert to another graphics plugin such as GLN64/Jabos D3D for now. I don't think there is any need to change graphics card :)

I believe at some point early in the new year Rice will be obtaining a Radeon card which he can use for testing/debugging/programming purposes.

I suggest you wait for the next generation if you want top of the range. What do you have?

this may have been asked before and may be this is also not the right place but plz try to give me an answer:
which is the best sound/RSP(needed?) plugin -setting
for perfect dark?
I play it but when i´m entering the building in first mission the audio% drops to 0 and ...
so anyone an idea?

The problem I had with Perfect Dark appears to be specific to games by Rare. Conker's Bad Fur Day also has the same problem.

As such, I created a new thread with links to images that show the problem. Any help will be appreciated :)

Which would be good for us radeon card users. I almost regretted getting a Radeon card until you posted this. I knew NVidia was better for the plugins, but this new computer I got came with a radeon 9200SE already installed (plus the computer was such a great deal I couldnt refuse), so I didnt bother getting an Nvidia card

i do not understand your problems for me still glN64 works better than Rice plugin ?
and glN64 should work good with radeons and 1964.0.99 ?
(at the moment i´m testing it with an notebook with GFX 5200 so i can´t say..)

I have a Radeon 9000. Its not just instability I experence in Rices, but the large amount of graphics errors.

The graphics errors are fixed usually by:

Software T&L > that is essential if you have a Radeon, think of it as 3D Ani included in the plugin

Normal Combiner/Blender on/off

Believe me, most games are playable with near perfect graphics with enough tweaking.

Wow thanks for the tip. That fixed nearly all my GFX errors. If its not too much trouble, could you post your Rices settings Trotterwatcher.

There is not just one setting really.

Ok, use Mario64 as your base:

Start it without SW T&L (D3D) > looks bad yeah
Now start it with SW T&L selected - should look infinitely better, any other problems try selecting/deselecting the blender and the combiner options.

Use CF5 for DK64 intro - it will crash near the end. Reload the game using CF5 then go to start a game, you will then be able to start without having the see the intro.

Dr Mario you need to use Rices plugin and set the framebuffer to with emulator (as well as forcing SW T&L)
Pilot Wings - should be playable using Rices

THX 4 help - Dk it's now runs correctly
But dr mario and Pilot wings... see it:
