What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

Is it possible to replace the textures of the inside of links house?
because if there is a way to do it, I am thinking of contributing my skills to that area.

what format would they have to be in?
I use 3dsmax and If I was to construct this room and then texture and render it out, I would need to know what shape and size it would have to be.
I guess it would have to be like a panoramic image, right?
I'm sorry if this is a pain, I have never done anything like this before with games.

As far as I know it's either really hard or impossible. If it can be done Molly, please tell us how or give a link to where it can be found out.

As for remaking it, simply export the graphic from the game and use that as a starting point. It must be either 2 or 4x the size of the original. (3x apparently works but I've heard some rumors that it doesn't so just go with 4x.) It has to have the EXACT same name as the exported texture, and (IIRC) either .png or .bmp.

I understand, thanks for your reply :)
I couldn't export the graphic using rices plugin so I think it is produced a different way from regular textures. that said, even if I did redo that part of the game, everyone would be having a real hard job to get the texture to appear in game.
that is..
unless that is something that can be added in easily?
who knows! I am no programmer! lol

There's a rapidshare link a little higher up from that (same page), but rapid share sucks... I'll see about finding a new place to mirror it a little later.

It works just like any other textures. Position yourself outside the building you want to retexture, and then enable dumping. Enter the building, and move around a little, and you should have all the textures dumped. Next number each texture, put them in the hi rez folder and load your game. Then piece the pano together in photoshop to create a single image of the entire room. Then go to town.

indeed

i found something very odd though.

i downloaded the OoT 1.2 GCN version and the zelda banner on the intro screen had the middle and top parts of the shield not hi res textured :| yet if i use the OoT 1.2 version, it worked fine :| odd huh.

Considering that the pack is intended for v1.0 of Zelda, I don't find it odd that it wouldn't work with the 1.2 gamecube version.

That's because I took the download links down for them. I'm not sure why others think that it's ok to put up their own download links without proper permission.

its called mirroring and considering its a bunch of textures made to make a copyrighted game look different,.. you can't really say they can't.
