I have the same problem and it's caused by one of Microsoft's Windows updates. it affects every SSF release, until something is changed so that the emulator no longer crashes.

Does the R13 release work for you? If it does then don't worry, it's not a fault of your computer. ;)

Yes, R13 release work for me just fine. I know it's not a fault of my computer but I want Beta 2 :(

P.S. Maybe SP2 is the reason ? I dont know. I will wait for R3 or until Beta is no longer available for the next one. I will see. ;)

I didn't say that the problem wouldn't get fixed once you install other updates. It's most likely a problem that occurs when there is a certain combination of updates installed.

I've no idea. I just got a system that can run SSF like 2 weeks ago so I haven't tested that many games to tell. My bet is that they are on the default settings.

All the games tested with the 0.07 Alpha XX versions were run with SH2-Slave set to 100%. No Dot Clock changes.

The 0.07 Beta XX releases I tested with all default settings.

I'm going to retest all games once the next SSF version is released using default settings. If a game is unplayabe using defaults, but playable with setting adjustments, I will mention that in the Notes.

Darkfox

That guy that does stuff.
I have no problems with it other than some voice/sound missyncing with scene. Other than that it's kinda hard to get around with it on because there is no way to freeze emulation, even if focus is lost which makes me have to close it to do other things without hang. Other than this there are seemingly no problems, I think the main focus as of now is compatability.

SSF is definetly one of, if not the, best emulator currently for this system.

Oh okay, thanks. Guess what ? I can get this new R2' work. I guess that is why Beta R1-R2 had bugs in it or something that crash my computer and now I am able to run Beta R2'. Cheers! I am happy about it.

By the way, I notice that CD drive with it seem very sensitive so with daemoon tool is the best way to use ? I tried few cd and they can run fine and some cd like Megaman X3 PAL verison is very sensitive to this emu and somewhat goes back to music screen. When I rip it and use daemoon tool with it...it runs just fine. Weird and do you know why ? You mean what I mean ?? CD Drive emulation isn't 100% I think, right ? Thanks. :)

I think shima said that its not possible to emulate the timing of the cddrive of the saturn with a computer cd or dvddrive.
With an iso/ daemon tools its no problem because the timing is always the same.

Yeah, I thought so. But still, why can't they do that ? ePSXe have no problem with CD drive emulate 100% just fine. Oh well.

By the way, I want to download sega saturn console icon for it because this have a white stuff icon which I disliked, lol. Where can I get it and how do I enable icon instead of this white icon. Use .ico or .gif ? What resolution size is that or know where I can download it ? Thanks again.

AFAIK, Saturn's CD access/read routines are different from a "normal" CD-ROM system. Even though the PSX drive makes use of subchannel data reading and god knows what else, generally it's the same as computer CD/DVD drives.

Ahh, I see. Sega Saturn surely is complicated but glad that it can run games I really want to played. :)

I like it, too. However, I still get a crash when I'm changing the BIOS and corresponding country. I've resorted to labeling my games with (U), (E), and (J) to make this easier.

I guess the fact that I'm farting around with a 2.4GHz is the reason only a very small handful actually play for me, huh?

Works for me too. Not more crashing. Whee.

Example: Are you sure it crashes? SSF forces you to restart the emualator every time you fiddle with one of those options.
