I have the same problem and it's caused by one of Microsoft's Windows updates. it affects every SSF release, until something is changed so that the emulator no longer crashes.ptitrun said:damn I can't get this new R2 work...It crashes after choosing the bios and click "ok"...I can play with the R1...Waiting for R3 ^^
PsyMan said:Does the R13 release work for you? If it does then don't worry, it's not a fault of your computer.
I didn't say that the problem wouldn't get fixed once you install other updates. It's most likely a problem that occurs when there is a certain combination of updates installed.dragomasterx2 said:I have no problems, i have a ac97 onboardsoundcard with recent drivers and my os is win2000 with mostly all patches and updates, its super stabil.
Borisz said:I've no idea. I just got a system that can run SSF like 2 weeks ago so I haven't tested that many games to tell. My bet is that they are on the default settings.

AFAIK, Saturn's CD access/read routines are different from a "normal" CD-ROM system. Even though the PSX drive makes use of subchannel data reading and god knows what else, generally it's the same as computer CD/DVD drives.Rockmangames said:Yeah, I thought so. But still, why can't they do that ? ePSXe have no problem with CD drive emulate 100% just fine. Oh well.
