Mupen64 really slow!!!

Stop talking BS, the GeForce 2 is of course not faster than the equivalent GeForce 3.

(Americans are getting seriously ripped off on most hardware, imo)

Overclock it to Ti4600 (you can even do this in linux,NvClock) and Mupen will fly.

Of course then sound will be stuttery....... :teehee:

and like the guy froms UK said,u should get a gforce 4 ti,never a mx or a gforce 2. :borg:

My geforce 3 ti seems to do well with mupen. ;)

I am using debian on a XP 2400 with 256 dual ddr and an geforce256
and mupen64 0.3 is very slow.
I tried to play Mario64 and Zelda64,
both games start but are too slow to play.
Any hinds what I can do?

Get a better graphics card... do you have the official nvidia driver?

Yes I habe the nvidia driver installed and I am using kernel 2.4.22.
I think the main problem isnt that my computer is too slow
because mupen runs some seconds at normal speed an 90% cpu usage and then cpu usage goes down to zero and mupen lags. :(

I use the Mupen64 0.3 binary and testet the following plugins:
Gfx: Rice's Daedalus 5.2.0 slow but working
glNintendo64 0.3.1 also to slow and working
TR64 OpenGL v 0.7.8 the same as above
AUDIO: Mupen64 audio plugin
iNPUT: Mupen64 input plugin
RSP: Hacktarux hle rsp plugin

Ok tried using jttl and the sound now is really bad,
but the games are runnig at good speed.
I have ab problem compiling the newer sources of jttl because I get errors from the makefile, I am using debian gcc3.3
Anybody knows something, and THX al lot so far ;)
