What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

Insert Custom Textures Into A Rom

No idea, but wouldn't this corrupt the ROM if the textures being replaced were larger than the originals?

Maybe, I just wanna play Djipi's Texture Mod for OOT, and I don't have access to a decent Windblows computer (or a windblows computer at all)

Not possible because the textures are accessed by an address in the ROM. Those addresses are constant because the file size of the textures are constant. That means you can't add high resolution textures to a ROM. You could if the files were the same size as the original and same format... But there are no tools to do that.

I would think moreso the issue is that the N64 has limited texture cache sizes, etc, very limited, and the emulator method sidesteps this limitation.
