This isn't IRC. Be patient. Besides, custom textures aren't Project64 specific. Most people won't answer if they don't have anything worthwhile to contribute. There is a dedicated forum for custom texture questions in the 1964 board. (Granted, not the most obvious location, but still.)

What are your computer specs, especially graphics card?

Start --> Run, type dxdiag and run it. Check the Display tab in the program that starts up.

Nope, type dxdiag instead of cmd (so its not the command window), like this

Start => Run => dxdiag => Display

Can´t rly help you with the main problem though, since i don´t know how to fix that kind of stuff. You might want to try the newest version of Rice Video with different settings:
http://www.ngemu.com/download.php?action=plugin&id=37

sry for the link, couldn´t find this plugin on this board

Your Voodoo3 is the problem is most likely the problem. It simply lacks the features needed for hi-res textures. Even the Pentium III clocked at 500MHz is below absolute minimum requirements for Project64.

Needless to say, with Rice's plugin and h-res textures especially, the system requirements are even higher. Back in 1999 your specs would have held their ground reasonably well, but 9 years later? Come on.

Since you have a Voodoo 3 and problems with the rice video plugin you could try Glide Napalm (since it is said to support that kind of gfx cards very well):
http://glide64.emuxhaven.net/downloads.php
For setting it up, follow this guide: http://savvygeek.com/2008/07/07/nintendo-64-games-in-high-resolution-glory/
You might want to change some settings though. And try to run the plugin without copying the glide3x.dll in the main folder, because of your voodoo card (if it doesn´t wor this way, then copy it). The important thing is to choose rice format for hi res textures. Also, 1024x768 is the max supportet resolution so far.

And for the hi res packs, I remember reading somewhere here on the board that it depends on your rom version whether the textures show up or not, for example a v.1.2 rom doesn´t support some textures made for a v.1.0. I might be wrong though.

so you have to move the wrapper in the pj main folder, if it doesn´t do anything without it

edit: oh yeah, and if you just follow the guide i postet before you shouldn´t have any problems at all Oo just don´t use a higher resolution than the max supported.

what do i do with the glithed up textures (the blocked ones, the invisble ones)

If you have an actual voodoo card and the drivers (and thus glide) you don't need to (or want to) use the included glide3x.dll from the napalm package, I think.

Voodoo is a brand name for the line of graphics cards made by 3Dfx in 1996-2000.

A video card is another term for graphics card (pretty much).

Anyways, delete glide3x.dll. You shouldn't need it if you really have a Voodoo 3.
