  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

Hi everybody,

I'm really quite confused. When I texture dump Banjo-Kazooie, I get five different folders. In three of those folders the textures are all identical but with different names (and varying formats). Which names should I use if I want to turn them into hires_texture?

IIRC, in the Banjo games, there's a *slightly* different texture for the main characters (even Banjo and Kazooie) in every single room, which means they all have a different CRC. There's nothing you can do about that.

Try again with other games.

Wow, that's amazing.

That explains my distress. Thanks a lot for helping me sort that out. Interesting Rare did that.

Rare did some amazing programming back in those days. I remember someone was able to retexture this game, so it's not impossible.
 
are you new to this retexturing stuff if so are the folder names:
ci_bmp
ci_bmp_with_pal_crc
ci_by_png
png_all
png_by_rgb_a
if so that is supposed to happen
