I think martin should spend more time thinking of better contest ideas next time, this one didnt seem to go very well :p

As you know (staff forum), this contest idea wasn't mine. :p

Personally, I think this was an excellent competition, just that everyone got caught in a "I can't possibly do something that will win" attitude. Then with only 2 hours to go before closing, I saw that only two
entries had been posted. So I did a stand up skint on emulation, and entered it.

But this had the potential to have some real crackers of entries. It appears that there was only one cracker entry. I am beginning to feel lame voting for my own now.

whos was it :smurf:
I suggested a writing competition a long long time ago on IRC. I believe it was over 4 months ago, just after the screenshot competition was announced.

Edit: A review writing competition to be more exact, this then evolved into a general emulation writing contest.

Screenshot competition? Ooohhhh. That would hav been really fun.
Yeah it was, I didn't enter that one though due to the one that eventually won being far too good to match IMHO :) I wouldn't be too suprised if there were another screenshot style competition in the future.

Check here for the entries to that one:

I voted for TrotterWatch, I feel wierd voting for myself, I am not that kind of person. Even if I were running for president, I vote for one of the independents or maybe do a write in, just because it's not right ot vote for yourself.

EDIT: Being a staff member I was also not allowed to vote for myself, right? Cough*Cough* Honestly though, I would not have done it anyway.

That rule applied when the staff were going to pick the top 8 writings for the poll, but we never had to do that since there weren't enough entries. So you could have. :)

Wait a minute... Dosn't the little star in the pol that shows up after you vote show which you voted for?

Yeah, wierdness. I could have sworn I had five votes. Oh, well.
The fact that the star is not working might be because I had to remove one entry through the database, which could also be why it doesn't show the title of one of the poll options if you view "who voted" through the admin cp.

Alright, I had to re-post the thread and poll because something went bad when I manually removed the entry from the database earlier. This gives everyone who have already voted, the ability to vote again. Sorry for any inconvenience.
