  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

Those instructions would be incorrect if they followed yours Chaoszerox.
The Master quest logo needs to be remade.
EDIT:
I'll fix the master quest logo up when i get back.

Lol lewa, that medallion is actually really awesome looking--almost makes me want to try to a very modern retexture of OOT after this is done. Wonder if that could actually work out...

Lol, I just threw that togeth in like 4 minutes. Thanks though.
Yeah a modern OOT would be really cool. We'd have to make a ton of textures from cratch though. But it would be stinking awesome to make modern interaces :D

@death--droid-what do you want me to do with the sapphires? At this point, I've tried two different types and you haven't liked either, so please tell me what you would like instead.

I know, those sapphires are a pain! That's why I didn't ever send one back to you. Had a terrible time getting some to look nice.

Dungeon Common Objects No2

Wow, so much activity on the thread lately. Love it!!!

Dungeon Common Objects Number 2: http://www.mediafire.com/file/td2zmimdyey/Dungeon Common Items No2.zip

Includes the locks (both small, and bossroom) chains, torches (wooden base, and the ones with 4 legs), stained glass door, and the metal grating that bars locked doors that you need to hit a switch for.

Sorry for the large size, most are 32X, a couple 16X.

@Chaoszerox - Impressive work sir! Your most recent additions have really come to life. It's as if a fire has been lit inside you. I'm loving your progress.

@Chieftain - Jabu Jabu is looking super sweet! I'm totally impressed, though not surprised b/c you always whip out super fine detailed masterpieces such as this. Top notch work sir! Quickie question: I may be missing it in the screenshots, but I couldn't see that the top of his back was all crusty and dried-out looking like the original. That kinda makes sense, b/c he's so fat and lazy now that he spends all his time with the top half of his body out of water. Would stand to reason that his back would be all calloused and cracked. But perhaps the angle was not right for me to see it. I love the mask and the jewel BTW.

@Death--Droid - sorry I missed the upload of the third plugin to the pack.

I'm torn on where to start next. What do you all think I should start with first?

1) Finish Fire Temple
2) Finish child Link clothes
3) Any other "pickup" work or small areas before moving on to another full dungeon

EDIT: @Lewa, good to know you're still in the 'graphics scene'. I'm loving your other work.

I would say link's clothes. I really want to see all the non-area textures done!

@Zeckron--I totally hadn't thought of that! I was so focused on the stupid mask I didn't even think about the rest of him! Methinks I need to revisit that texture (right now, it's pretty much the same as the sides--you didn't miss much).

Meanwhile, the rest of the fountain is coming along, I'll put some screenshots up later.

Edit, @Zeckron--do you still the files you used to make the pillar for lake Hylia? I could really use the vector and the grey stone you used. Oddly enough, while the pillars look very similar between the two areas, the way the texture is done is COMPLETELY different in the fountain.

@Chieftain - here's the link for the files you requested.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/kfthmadmtfy/Chieftain is Da Man.zip

Unfortunately, this was during my transition period when I was going between Paint.Net and Photoshop. My files during this time were not kept very clean, so I'm not sure how helpful this will be to you. The master pillar was compiled in Paint.net (let's face it, Paint.net's transform tools are MUCH easier to use than photoshop, though nowadays I've intentionally constricted myself to Photoshop and NOTHING ELSE). But during this time frame I switched between the two based upon what I was most comfortable with.

Illustrator versions of the symbol, and the little "rungs" underneath are in there as well, in addition to the PSD versions. But unfortunately you won't find a full PSD version of the whole pillar, rather the Paint.Net version.

If you would prefer to just "bash up" the whole image instead of taking it piece by piece (my suggestion), the master file name is THE LEGEND OF ZELDA#95BF8070#0#2_all and is found in the following path:
-Areas
-Lake Hylia

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Sidenote: Does anyone here have Filter Forge? Would really like to hear some personal experience on it's usage (on the side I suppose, so as not to junk up the thread).

EDIT: @Chaoszerox - child link it is then!

@Zeckron--ROCK ON!! That's exactly what I needed! I really appreciate that, helps me out a LOT... hopefully, I'll be able to weather it down with the source files as well.

P.S. If I get some help from the author of the base picture (which was a 1600x1200 on a black background) then expect a more defined feather. Just e-mailed him

@Chieftain459 in the latest patch there are net versions of the spiritual stones you may want to have a look at there implementation.
One of the textures is THE LEGEND OF ZELDA#85AE6E36#0#3_all
@Zeckron awesome work there I'll add it straight away.
@chaoszerox keep up the good work, you seem to be on fire, those brick wall textures for the spirit temple look good nothing wrong with them.
@steftheserb thanks for those bow textures good work on them.
@Lewa nice work.

I most likely haven't replied to every post.
So in advance I'm sorry.

Anyway keep up the good work everyone!!

POLL: design

Ok currently deciding on which design to use here

design.jpg

It's also used on these pillars
anotheruseage.jpg

I don't think the design should be too complex, considering it's made out of the same material (texture) as the main wall. if you forgot what that looks like see this http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff70/num1narutofan/V1.jpg

Anyway here's the two every one can chose from. If you think you have a better one please do post it!!!!
